Lately, For a future child, I love the name Bobbie for a girl, after my grandad. However I have a nephew named Robert who is also named after my grandad and i’m just wondering if you think these names are too similar and as cousins it wouldn’t be right?
My grandads name was Robert and as a child his family called him Bobby.

I think it’s totally fine! If your nephew’s nickname is [name_u]Bobby[/name_u], that may get confusing, but [name_u]Robert[/name_u] and [name_u]Bobbie[/name_u] are fine as cousins! Plus, you both should be able to honor your grandfather.
If the cousin [name_u]Robert[/name_u] goes by [name_u]Bobby[/name_u], then yes it would be too close.
But honestly it depends on how often you see them. I think for cousins [name_u]Robert[/name_u] and [name_u]Bobbie[/name_u] could be fine
