Bold Names

Parents of kiddos with some bolder names, I have some questions.

[name_f][/name_f]
    [name_f][/name_f]
  • What are the names? (If you’re comfortable sharing.)
  • [name_f][/name_f]
  • Your kids ages. (Again, only if you’re comfortable)
  • [name_f][/name_f]
  • How your kid is wearing it at their age?
  • [name_f][/name_f]
  • What led you to that name?
  • [name_f][/name_f]
  • Did you face a lot of criticism for it at first?
  • [name_f][/name_f]
  • What were other ideas you considered?
  • [name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Feel[/name_m] free to answer any and all of these, I have a somewhat out there name in mind, but I’m not sure if it’s too out there, so I’m trying to gauge how well it would work.

[name_f][/name_f]

Please try to stick to names that genuinely aren’t used very often, not unique spellings of more common names.

Thanks in advance.

[name_f]My[/name_f] husband wanted something historically grounded while I wanted strong and debonair for him. I also typically lean ethereal when it comes to names. This name landed both plus we wanted something pretty uncommon (out of the US top 500).

[name_m]Not[/name_m] so far! People mostly love it.

    Names that got vetoed: [name_m]Rowell[/name_m], [name_m]Elveryn[/name_m], [name_m]Illarion[/name_m], [name_m]Donovan[/name_m], [name_m]Aleksandr[/name_m], [name_m]Mordecai[/name_m], Iver…several others. I don’t recall all of them.

One, congratulations! Two, love [name_m]Sinclair[/name_m], it feels like a fresh take on [name_f]Claire[/name_f], which is a name I love.
