Bonneau or Beau

A podcaster I listen to named her daughter Bonneau nicknamed [name_m]Beau[/name_m]. I kind of like it but I’d be curious to hear others thoughts. It’s a family name for her would it be weird to use it without the connection?

I’ve never heard of Bonneau, but I think it’s cool. I like how [name_m]Beau[/name_m] is the nn.

Beau/ Bo / [name_m]Bow[/name_m] is also really cute for a girl!

As someone who speaks some [name_f]French[/name_f], it personally really bothers me that [name_m]Beau[/name_m] is a masculine word and would never be used for a girl or woman (she would be Belle), but that’s my own personal gripe with it. I do like the sound of it though, but I would spell the nickname Bo if it was me! [name_m]Just[/name_m] something to consider.

I prefer just [name_m]Beau[/name_m] or Bo

[name_m]Bonneau[/name_m] is intriguing – I can see the appeal - a bit like [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] and [name_m]Beau[/name_m] followed into one - and a bit like [name_f]Juno[/name_f] and [name_f]Margaux[/name_f] too.

That said, it reminds me of Bonbon or [name_m]Bono[/name_m] – and I think I’d want some extra connection (as they do) to use it .

Who was the podcaster, just out of interest?

[name_m]Beau[/name_m]! I love just [name_m]Beau[/name_m] :teddy_bear:
