Boone vs. Booker

[name]Just[/name] looking for opinions on these two names.

I’ve loved [name]Boone[/name] much longer (and [name]Daniel[/name] [name]Boone[/name] was always one of my favorite historical figures growing up!), but [name]Booker[/name] is a recent favorite and I love its surnamey/trade-name sort of vibe, and I love the tie to [name]Booker[/name] T. [name]Washington[/name] (not to mention the fact that I’m an aspiring novelist, and I love the ties to writing, literature, stories, etc.!). I thought I had decided on [name]Boone[/name] for my list (also loved that it means “blessing”), but lately I keep coming back to [name]Booker[/name]. I know some people hear “booger” when they see it, but I really don’t.

I obviously can’t use both, but I can’t seem to decide which one deserves the last spot on my list. I think both are names that you instantly really like or really dislike, but I really love them both. If you had to pick one, which one would you choose?

For what it’s worth, the other names on my short list are [name]Caleb[/name], [name]Jack[/name], [name]Everett[/name], [name]Asher[/name], [name]Grayson[/name], [name]Avery[/name], [name]Bailey[/name], [name]Spencer[/name], and [name]Brody[/name].

Thanks!

This is a pretty easy one for me, and although I’m not keen on either name, the sound of [name]Boone[/name] is much more appealing than [name]Booker[/name]. I find [name]Boone[/name] [name]Isaiah[/name] so charming, if that is still the combo you love. [name]Booker[/name] just doesn’t seem like a name to me, and the sound doesn’t appeal to me. [name]Both[/name] names are basically unknown in the UK but I seen [name]Boone[/name] more useable than [name]Booker[/name]. [name]Boone[/name] seems to fit alongside the other boy’s names on your list too.

Yes, [name]Boone[/name] [name]Isaiah[/name] (well, [name]Boone[/name] [name]Isaiah[/name] [name]Leo[/name]) is still my [name]Boone[/name] combo! I don’t have a [name]Booker[/name] combo quite yet… I do quite like [name]Booker[/name] [name]Caleb[/name] but I am so tied to [name]Caleb[/name] [name]Elias[/name] [name]Joseph[/name] that [name]Booker[/name] [name]Caleb[/name] is obviously not an option, haha. I thought I might opt for just [name]Booker[/name] [name]Isaiah[/name] [name]Leo[/name], but the combo as a whole doesn’t have quite the appeal that [name]Boone[/name] [name]Isaiah[/name] [name]Leo[/name] does.

I strongly prefer the ruggedly manly tone to [name]Boone[/name]! [name]Booker[/name] just does not do it for me. [name]Boone[/name] [name]Isaiah[/name] [name]Leo[/name] is so handsome!! [name]Booker[/name] [name]Caleb[/name] does not flow all the well [name]IMO[/name] either.

I prefer [name]Boone[/name] also! It’s on my list

Another vote for [name]Boone[/name]. I think it works particularly well with the other names on your list too!

[name]Boone[/name] is on and off my list all the time. Seeing this thread made me think about him again and I really love it!

I much prefer [name]Boone[/name]. I love that a boone is a favor, and I love the rugged handsome quality of [name]Boone[/name].

[name]Booker[/name] to me is just so-so. It’s not a name that makes me like or dislike it.

So. I thought I was finally leaning toward [name]Boone[/name], and then I posted on another site, and everyone (every. single. one!) voted for [name]Booker[/name]! I’m torn all over again. Urgh. Any more opinions?

I’ve been thinking about [name]Zane[/name] with [name]Booker[/name]… maybe [name]Booker[/name] [name]Elliot[/name] [name]Zane[/name]?

I’m outnumbered on this thread, but I MUCH prefer [name]Booker[/name]. I also like your pairing it with [name]Elliot[/name] [name]Zane[/name]. I can picture a little boy named [name]Booker[/name] but I also think it ages well and is a strong name for a man. [name]Boone[/name] sounds heavy to me. [name]Just[/name] my opinions!
