I’ve always loved thinking about names and have had lists for years, but I am now due with my second and I can’t find anything that I love. We have a [name_m]Truman[/name_m] already and if #2 is a boy (we aren’t finding out), he will likely be [name_m]Malcolm[/name_m] or [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u]. [name_m]Truman[/name_m] would have been [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] had he been a girl, but I don’t love it as much anymore. Other from our list are:
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] (but I can’t find any nn that I like- don’t care for [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] or [name_f]Nola[/name_f])
[name_f]Francesca[/name_f] (sounds funny with my husband’s [name_m]German[/name_m]-sounding last name, which will be the baby’s LN)
[name_f]Allegra[/name_f] (allergy medicine is a problem)
[name_f]Jemima[/name_f] (can’t get my husband on board!)
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f] (concerned about rapid rise in popularity)
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] (husband’s top pick, but seems too common with [name_m]Truman[/name_m]. I’m guessing this one is going Top 20 in the next couple of years.)
I like longer (3+ syllable) names that are feminine, but not frilly and uncommon, but familiar. I also like a cute nn. Anyone up for a challenge?! Thanks in advance for the help.

[name_f]Jemima[/name_f] - depending where you live this might not be the wisest choice (though I don’t have a problem with it)
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f] - I do think it will still rise but it will stay lovely
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] - I don’t see it entering the US’s Top 20 (but then you might live somewhere else) anytime soon

For the girls, [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] is also a name that I love, and I think it goes really well with brother [name_m]Truman[/name_m]. If it doesn’t sound absolutely awful with her last name I would suggest using it. It’s just so gorgeous.
