bored with my list!

I am so, so bored with my list. I want fresh opinions! I’m gonna post a bunch of my favorite names, and if you guys could post new suggestions I would totally appreciate it! Also, could you tell me what your favorites of my names are?

[name]Amelia[/name], [name]Annabel[/name], [name]Beatrice[/name], [name]Belle[/name], Briseis (Bris-EE-iss or BRIS-ay-iss), [name]Calliope[/name], [name]Camilla[/name], [name]Catherine[/name], [name]Cecelia[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Claire[/name], [name]Clementine[/name], [name]Dorothy[/name], [name]Edith[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name], [name]Elise[/name], [name]Elizabeth[/name], [name]Eloise[/name], [name]Elsa[/name], [name]Emmeline[/name], [name]Felicity[/name], [name]Genevieve[/name], [name]Gwendolyn[/name], [name]Harriet[/name], [name]Hazel[/name], [name]Ilsa[/name] (ILL-sah), [name]Imogen[/name], [name]Ingrid[/name], [name]Isadora[/name], [name]Isla[/name], [name]Ivy[/name], [name]Jane[/name], [name]Josephine[/name], [name]Julia[/name], [name]June[/name], [name]Lilith[/name], [name]Lisette[/name], [name]Lucille[/name], [name]Matilda[/name], [name]Meredith[/name], [name]Ophelia[/name], [name]Pearl[/name], [name]Penelope[/name], [name]Poppy[/name], [name]Scarlett[/name], [name]Sofia[/name], [name]Violet[/name], [name]Vivien[/name]

I would prefer name snot in the top 500, but it isn’t necessary  I like to use first names that are less common and save the more common names for the mn positions. [name]TIA[/name]!!

These are my favorites from your list-

New ideas-

My favorites on your list are:

[name]Elise[/name], maybe you would like [name]Liesl[/name] or [name]Lisette[/name]. Nameberry has negative things to say about both names. But I kind of like them a lot! Especially [name]Lisette[/name].
[name]Vivienne[/name] (spelled this way)

Maybe you would love
[name]Camille[/name] instead of [name]Camilla[/name]
[name]Cecily[/name] instead of [name]Cecilia[/name]
[name]Leonora[/name] nn [name]Nora[/name]
[name]Millicent[/name] nn [name]Milly[/name]

Names on your list that are also on my list:

*in my current top 5

The other two in my top 5 are [name]Georgia[/name] and [name]Celeste[/name].

two names that come to mind (sorry just off the top of my mind).

I really love your list!! My absolute favorites are [name]Julia[/name], [name]Ophelia[/name], [name]Annabel[/name], [name]Amelia[/name], [name]Claire[/name], [name]Eloise[/name], and [name]Genevieve[/name].

You have a lot of really lovely names on your list! (: Since I’m still not too familiar with your style, I’ll be suggesting pretty much everything. Excuse repeats (even from your list).

Blandine/ Blandina

From your list -

[name]Calliope[/name] - I love this name with the nn [name]Callie[/name] but I’m just not
brave enough to use it myself. I’d love to meet a little [name]Calliope[/name].
[name]Cecelia[/name] - I love the idea of using Cece as a nn, not sure if you do.
This name sounds to similar to my last to use personally but I do love it.
[name]Claire[/name] - I’ve always loved this one.
[name]Charlotte[/name] - [name]Love[/name] [name]Charlie[/name] for a girl.
[name]Eleanor[/name] - I’m loving this name lately. Nice nn possibilities. I’m really liking the [name]Elinor[/name] spelling too.
[name]Genevieve[/name] - Great name that also has nice nn’s.
[name]Isadora[/name] - I love so much more than [name]Isabella[/name].
[name]Ivy[/name] - Another name I love. You really have a great list. [name]Iris[/name] is my favorite “I” name.
[name]Jane[/name] - I hope this name starts getting used more often for a first name.
[name]Josephine[/name] - A family name for me. It’s a great a name.
[name]Julia[/name] - I like all names that start with Jul-
[name]June[/name] - This name is so fun to me. I like [name]Juniper[/name] too.
[name]Meredith[/name] - Visually I love this name. What are some good nn’s for it?
[name]Pearl[/name] - I actually like [name]Pearl[/name] for a middle and [name]Opal[/name] for a first name.
[name]Violet[/name] - [name]Love[/name]! I love the nn [name]Ollie[/name] and thought this would work. I love “V” names.
[name]Vivien[/name] - [name]Love[/name]!

My top favorites from my favorites would be -

[name]Amelia[/name] - Always liked this one, very soft-sounding.
[name]Annabel[/name], [name]Belle[/name] - I guess I like “country”. I was one of the “yes” side in the [name]Luella[/name] thread recently.
[name]Beatrice[/name] - Can’t shake the “old lady” feel, not that I want to. it’s not the sound of name I’d like anyway. I would seriously consider just naming a girl [name]Trixie[/name], though. It cuts off the awkward part.
Briseis (Bris-EE-iss or BRIS-ay-iss) - I’ve only heard the second pronunciation. Very interesting, but I don’t know if I’d want that namesake.
[name]Calliope[/name] - Another interesting one.
Any other ultra-Greek ones you like?
[name]Camilla[/name] - [name]Love[/name].
[name]Elizabeth[/name], [name]Catherine[/name] - [name]Will[/name] never be dated. Thus, will never be uncommon enough for you or me.
[name]Cecelia[/name] - [name]Celia[/name] was one of my old favorites, and I liked this too, though I may have preferred the [name]Cecilia[/name] spelling. I once wrote a story with a mother and daughter named [name]Celia[/name] and [name]Amelia[/name]. Not the sort of thing I’d want to do in real life now, though very believable.
[name]Charlotte[/name] - Another that’s really common in Australia and getting there in the US. I’ve never seen its appeal.
[name]Claire[/name] - Plain but pretty.
[name]Clementine[/name], [name]Dorothy[/name], [name]Edith[/name], [name]Felicity[/name], [name]Harriet[/name], [name]Imogen[/name], [name]Ingrid[/name], [name]Isadora[/name] - Sorry. My tastes run somewhat more to 60s-80s names (the ones many now consider dated) than these (the ones many no longer consider dated).
[name]Eleanor[/name], [name]Elise[/name], [name]Eloise[/name], [name]Emmeline[/name], [name]Genevieve[/name], [name]Gwendolyn[/name] - Not my favorites, but they work. I love the overcommon [name]Emma[/name] and [name]Emily[/name], I love French names, but somehow [name]Emmeline[/name] is less attractive to me than the short English names.
[name]Elsa[/name], [name]Ilsa[/name] - Unfortunately, these names have been given to too many “bad girls” for me to ever consider them in reality.
[name]Hazel[/name] - So old it’s odd. I wouldn’t quite say it’s fresh again, but many parents would.
[name]Isla[/name] - Popular in NZ, ranked in the US for the first time in 2008. I’ll bet it’ll go very high very soon. I never heard of this name before a couple months ago, but people all over this and other boards are considering or advising it.
[name]Ivy[/name] - [name]Will[/name] be really common soon.
[name]Jane[/name] - It’s [name]Jane[/name]. What can I say?
[name]Josephine[/name] - You can add “ine”, it still doesn’t make [name]Joseph[/name] feminine. Notice how the girls’ names I like tend not to be feminized male names.
[name]Julia[/name] - As ordinary and benign as [name]Jane[/name], with a much more pleasing sound. I wouldn’t be inclined to use it even as a middle, for it would seem like filler.
[name]June[/name] - Oh, this one’s just resurfaced. Never liked it.
[name]Lilith[/name] - [name]Do[/name] you really want this? Not really a viable alternative to the overdone [name]Lily[/name] and [name]Lil/nameian. [name]Even[/name] [name]Liliana[/name], which destroys the elegant simplicity, is getting too common. You’ll have to look elsewhere.
[name]Lisette[/name] - Automatic distaste, not sure why. The 'ettes I like - not many, Col(l)ette, maybe [name]Cosette[/name], [name]Odette[/name], [name]Yvette[/name]. [name]Nicolette[/name]'s bland.
[name]Lucille[/name] - Better than [name]Lucy[/name], but it’s riding up on the coattails of that and [name]Lily[/name]/[name]Lillian[/name]. Maybe you’d like [name]Lucinda[/name]?
Trying to think of ille/elle names, I remembered the beautiful [name]Estelle[/name], and was surprised to find it unranked.
[name]Matilda[/name] - [name]Just[/name] ranked again for the first time in decades. Huge in Australia, and judging from the interest in it on name sites, in the US soon as well. Never liked it. Actually, like [name]Beatrice[/name], chopping off the beginning makes a much nicer name, but the only [name]Tilda[/name] I know is the actress.
[name]Meredith[/name] - Never sounded sufficiently feminine to me.
[name]Ophelia[/name] - I wouldn’t be afraid to use this one.
[name]Pearl[/name] - Rare enough for now, but about to come back. Like it well enough.
[name]Penelope[/name] - [name]Love[/name], but exploding in popularity. And I only like [name]Penny[/name] of the possible nicknames.
[name]Poppy[/name] - Seems to be common in Australia. Not ranked in US, but I’d be wary of it becoming so. Too bad, because it’s absolutely cute. Can be a nickname for [name]Penelope[/name], but if I wanted to use it, I’d just name her [name]Poppy[/name], something I wouldn’t do with [name]Penny[/name].
[name]Scarlett[/name], [name]Violet[/name], [name]Vivien[/name] - Like all of them, but so does everyone.
[name]Sofia[/name] - This is one of those popular names I don’t “get”.

From your list I really like:
[name]Calliope[/name], [name]Catherine[/name], [name]Cecelia[/name], [name]Clementine[/name], [name]Elise[/name], [name]Elizabeth[/name], [name]Eloise[/name], [name]Elsa[/name], [name]Hazel[/name], [name]Ilsa[/name], [name]Imogen[/name], [name]Ingrid[/name], [name]Isadora[/name], [name]Ivy[/name], [name]Julia[/name], [name]Matilda[/name], [name]Meredith[/name], [name]Ophelia[/name], [name]Poppy[/name], [name]Vivien[/name]
What about:
[name]Anais[/name], Aella, Aglaia, Aino, Aigle/Aegle, [name]Alcyone[/name], Amalthea, [name]Anthea[/name],[name]Annika[/name], [name]Astrid[/name], [name]Bridget[/name], [name]Colette[/name], [name]Calypso[/name], [name]Clio[/name]/[name]Cleo[/name], Celyn, [name]Danae[/name], [name]Daphne[/name], [name]Daria[/name], [name]Echo[/name], [name]Emer[/name], [name]Elissa[/name], [name]Enna[/name], [name]Eudora[/name], [name]Freya[/name], [name]Frida[/name], [name]Fiona[/name], [name]Gaia[/name], [name]Greta[/name], [name]Halcyon[/name], [name]Helena[/name], [name]Hermione[/name], [name]Iris[/name], [name]Ione[/name], [name]Iona[/name], [name]Io[/name], [name]Isis[/name], [name]Ismene[/name], [name]Ismay[/name], [name]Isabeau[/name], Inna, [name]Jocelyn[/name], [name]Liana[/name], [name]Lucinda[/name], [name]Larissa[/name], [name]Leda[/name], Leto, [name]Maeve[/name], [name]Maia[/name], [name]Maisie[/name], [name]Malin[/name], [name]Medea[/name], [name]Morgan[/name], [name]Niamh[/name], [name]Nike[/name], [name]Niobe[/name], [name]Neva[/name], [name]Nyx[/name], [name]Pax[/name], [name]Priya[/name], [name]Rhea[/name], [name]Rhiannon[/name], [name]Reina[/name], [name]Rosalie[/name], [name]Thea[/name], Themis, [name]Taryn[/name], [name]Tamsin[/name].
