[name_m]Hi[/name_m] berries! I’m excited to announce our baby girl was born. Gender was a surprise, so we took some days to finalize the name, but landed on…
[name_f]Posey[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] [name_f]Hope[/name_f]
I must share the meaning - “posies” are a bunch of flowers and this meaning came full circle for us! Last year we had a long and difficult miscarriage. We built a monument of stacked stones with God’s blessings and promises written on them to honor the baby. In a barren bed of pine needles and dirt, a beautiful bunch of purple posies grew up right beside the stones.
It felt like a sign to me that life would come again, even if it didn’t feel like it at the time.
Well what do you know, this month during her birth month, the same flowers that were dried up all year came back — pink and purple beauties — and the amount doubled!
The last detail I want to share is she was born at home, under a canopy of trees in a meadow on our property, with little wildflowers all around her. Flowers and nature are a part of her.
(Belle) — after my great great grandmother
(Hope) — because 2 years ago [name_m]God[/name_m] told me “her name is ‘Hope’” and that a little girl was coming. I also didn’t know it at the time, but I would learn a great deal about how to have HOPE in the journey to get to her!
Thanks for your insights and weigh ins - I appreciate this forum and it has been a joy naming each of our 4 kids!
