My favorite name right now is [name_u]Hollis[/name_u]. I think it’s just the right amount of tough and sweet.
My concerns are that it seems to be used more often as a girls name and that it will make people think of hollister (yikes). Tell me it’s super cool! Or why it is terrible. My husband is on the fence.
[name_u]Hollis[/name_u] is super cool! And the absolutely perfect brother for [name_m]Boston[/name_m]! Some people may think feminine when they hear it, but I don’t think its that well known even, so many people won’t have any association with it. There is the Hollister reference, but again I don’t think that’s a huge deal. Afterall you would be using just [name_u]Hollis[/name_u] not Hollister itself.
I do like your other options as well, [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m] being my favourite! [name_m]Boston[/name_m] and [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m] make a handsome pair too!
I also like [name_u]Hollis[/name_u]. I guess it has a similar feel to [name_f]Holly[/name_f] but I would have said boy straight away. I think [name_m]Silas[/name_m] would be a cool brother to [name_m]Boston[/name_m].
I think [name_u]Hollis[/name_u] is perfect with [name_m]Boston[/name_m].
I really like [name_u]Hollis[/name_u]! I don’t think it’s common enough for people to think of it as masculine or feminine unless they know a [name_u]Hollis[/name_u] themselves. Stylistically, I think [name_m]Boston[/name_m] and [name_u]Hollis[/name_u] are a great pair.
I love [name_u]Hollis[/name_u] with [name_m]Boston[/name_m]!
I dislike the way they roll off the tongue togather, the [name_m]Hall[/name_m] vs the [name_m]Boss[/name_m] sound the O’s are making.
What about [name_m]Hoyt[/name_m] or [name_m]Havelock[/name_m]?
I love [name_m]Boston[/name_m]. I like [name_u]Hollis[/name_u], but have you considered using another place name?
I love [name_u]Hollis[/name_u] with [name_m]Boston[/name_m]! I think of Westerns when I hear [name_u]Hollis[/name_u], much more on the masculine side of the line for me.
