Both first and middle names ending in "a"

Hello! I just need to mention this before getting on with my post; I am not actually expecting a baby girl. I’m making this post for myself as I’m planning on changing my name. I highly dislike my first name (hate is too strong a word since it was given to me by my parents, after all) for multiple reasons:
A.) It sounds so dated.
B.) I hate the reason that they chose the name. My parents met in church and so they named me after a Christian singer who was fairly famous at the time, but I myself am nowhere near religious, so I always remember the reason why I have this name whenever I hear someone say it.
C.) It just doesn’t suit me. Even when I was a child, my name never fit my attitude, personality, and mentality.

I’ll also be posting this in multiple categories as I’m not quite sure what this question can be classified as.

And now, here is my dilemma.

I have 2 choices for what I want to change my name to: Aria and Roxana. I was originally testing out if either of those names would go well with my middle initial and surname, and they do. But I just can’t choose between the two, so I thought of putting them together. Now I’m wondering if “Aria Roxana” sounds alright. They both end in the letter “a” though and I feel iffy when first and middle names rhyme because they end with the same sound.

Do you guys think that Aria Roxana is a good name? If not, do you have any middle name suggestions for Aria and Roxana respectively?

I don’t think it’s too big of an issue. [name_f]My[/name_f] first and middle name end in the same sound, too, and I can see that it sounds a bit repetitive, but if those are the names you like best, that matters more imo. Also, unless you are planning to go by both names all the time, it won’t happen too often that first and middle are said together without the surname. Good [name_m]Luck[/name_m] with your name change!

I quite like repeating sounds in first and middle names, actually. The way you pronounce both names, is it just the ending A that rhymes, or do they have a second repetition in the first A of both [name_u]Aria[/name_u] and [name_f]Roxana[/name_f] too? That would make them too similar for me.
Some suggestions:
[name_u]Aria[/name_u] [name_f]Ramona[/name_f]
[name_u]Aria[/name_u] [name_f]Roxanne[/name_f]
[name_f]Roxana[/name_f] [name_f]Astrid[/name_f]
[name_f]Roxana[/name_f] [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f]
[name_f]Roxana[/name_f] [name_f]Juno[/name_f]
[name_f]Roxana[/name_f] [name_u]Seren[/name_u]
[name_f]Roxana[/name_f] [name_u]Teagan[/name_u]
[name_f]Roxana[/name_f] [name_u]Meredith[/name_u]
[name_f]Roxana[/name_f] [name_f]Merida[/name_f]
[name_f]Roxana[/name_f] [name_u]Jade[/name_u]
[name_u]Aria[/name_u] [name_u]Jade[/name_u]

I like [name_u]Aria[/name_u] [name_f]Roxana[/name_f]! But you could also always go with [name_u]Aria[/name_u] [name_f]Roxane[/name_f] or [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] [name_f]Roxana[/name_f] as well.
edit to add- also I’ve always loved Roxi/Roxie! Reminds me of a book I read when I was younger, I’ll add a photo

I think [name_u]Aria[/name_u] [name_f]Roxana[/name_f] sounds great! I’m not bothered by the similar endings at all.

I like [name_u]Aria[/name_u] [name_f]Roxana[/name_f]! I think [name_u]Aria[/name_u] [name_f]Roxanne[/name_f] might flow a bit better but it’s nice as is.

Well, it’s true that it’s best to go with what you like. Thank you for the well wishes!

I see… I do know that [name_f]Roxana[/name_f] can be pronounced either “Rox-ah-na” or “Rox-anne-a”, so I was thinking of going with the second pronunciation so all the "A"s don’t sound the same. I’m also keeping [name_u]Aria[/name_u] [name_f]Roxanne[/name_f] as an option to avoid both names ending in “A”.

And thank you so much for the suggestions, they’re all lovely combinations!

Honestly, I was thinking of [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] [name_f]Roxana[/name_f]. But then I remembered that one of my uncles on my dad’s side that has the name [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] :smiling_face_with_tear:

I’m glad to hear that you like the name! I agree that [name_f]Roxie[/name_f] is a pretty cute nickname.

It’s a relief to hear that the two names both ending in “A” don’t really bother too many people. Thanks for replying!

Because of the difference in numbers of syllables, it sounds fine to me.
Great name!

That’s true, the two names are different enough that they don’t sound weird when put together. Thank you for the response!

I agree with everyone, I like [name_u]Aria[/name_u] [name_f]Roxana[/name_f]! It’s very punchy!

I think it sounds fine. I’ve heard plenty of combos with names that share last letters, and I think -a endings generally work the best. [name_u]Aria[/name_u] [name_f]Roxana[/name_f] is a lovely name!
