What do you think of the name [name_m]Bowen[/name_m]? So far it is the only name my husband and I can agree on for our baby boy due in [name_f]April[/name_f] but we are still undecided. We have a four year old son named [name_u]Mason[/name_u] (chosen before the Kardashians made this name so popular). Any other suggestions?
I really like [name_m]Bowen[/name_m]. I go back and fourth whether I love it.
I prefer [name_m]Beau[/name_m]/[name_m]Bo[/name_m].
I absolutely love the names [name_m]Beau[/name_m] and [name_m]Bo[/name_m]. I have always tried to love longer versions as I feel [name_m]Beau[/name_m] and [name_m]Bo[/name_m] are too short/informal as first names. I personally don’t like [name_m]Bowen[/name_m] much & I don’t know why. I love [name_m]Bo[/name_m] & I also love [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] - you’d think I’d like [name_m]Bowen[/name_m]!!! The only longer version I seem to like is [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m], which could be offensive so I haven’t even considered it. Sorry I’m not much help!
I don’t know. [name_u]Owen[/name_u] is nice, but quite popular and now it seems like [name_m]Cohen[/name_m] is starting to really catch on. If [name_u]Owen[/name_u] is the next [name_u]Aidan[/name_u], we’ll be seeing [name_m]Cohen[/name_m], [name_m]Bowen[/name_m], [name_u]Rowan[/name_u], etc. a lot more in the next few years.
I have toyed with [name_m]Bowen[/name_m] for years. I like it, but I worry it will always be misheard as [name_u]Owen[/name_u]. I also worry that since other names like [name_u]Owen[/name_u] are becoming popular (like [name_u]Rowan[/name_u]), that there will be a bunch of rhyming names in the classroom ie [name_u]Owen[/name_u], [name_m]Bowen[/name_m], [name_u]Rowan[/name_u].
[name_m]Bowen[/name_m] makes me think of Bowel. Like bowel movement. Sorry.
Thanks. I do like the name, but I cannot say I am set on it. It isn’t my first choice really but the only one we can agree on so far. We will think it over some more. My husband mentioned the name [name_m]Dalton[/name_m] today…I hadn’t thought of this one before.
It makes me think of [name_f]Claire[/name_f] from Modern Family who is played by [name_u]Julie[/name_u] [name_m]Bowen[/name_m]. I’ve always thought it sounded like [name_u]Rowan[/name_u], but I heard her pronounce her surname bow-en (bow rhymes with wow) and I certainly don’t care for that.
