boy #3--another A name?

I’m struggling with weather or not to use another A name for our third baby boy, due in [name_u]July[/name_u]. This is likely our last child, and I’m trying to decide if three brothers with the same first initial is charming or cheesy–help!

My husband and I like names that are a bit unusual but not unfamiliar. Our older sons are [name_m]Archer[/name_m] [name_m]Wilkes[/name_m] (6) and [name_u]Abbott[/name_u] [name_m]Cole[/name_m] (3).

Middle name will be [name_u]Logan[/name_u], [name_m]Jackson[/name_m], or [name_m]Scott[/name_m]–all family honor names, same as the older two boys.

A names in the running are:
Ames
[name_u]Auden[/name_u]
[name_m]Ansel[/name_m]
[name_u]August[/name_u]

Thoughts or suggestions welcomed

I really think the initial thing is up to you. I tend to agree with a “rule” I’ve heard that two is a coincidence and three is a pattern. So, if I saw 3 brothers with names all starting in “a”, I would assume it was done intentionally. Personally, it’s not something I would do, but I definitely don’t think it’s tacky.
From your “a” list, I think [name_u]August[/name_u] and [name_u]Auden[/name_u] are both a really great fit with [name_m]Archer[/name_m] and [name_u]Abbott[/name_u].

I would stick with the A names. I wouldn’t want the youngest to feel left out.

I like [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]Scott[/name_m].
