Boy + girl names!

[name_m]Hi[/name_m]!
I just found out that im pregnant. I have two boys - their names are [name_m]Graham[/name_m] and [name_m]Rhys[/name_m] (“Reese”). Our last name sounds like “uh-rick-ee-an”

[name_f]My[/name_f] absolute favorite girl name is [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] and my middle name is [name_f]Presley[/name_f] so I was thinking [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Presley[/name_f]. But also my aunt just passed away and would love to honor her name (Catherine) so [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]. I just feel like [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] and our last name is a lot of ending with “n” sounds. Thoughts on this? Any other first name combo ideas?

Secondly, for a boy, I LOVE the name brooks, but my husbands ex girlfriend has a son named brooks lol so kind of weird. I also love [name_m]Camden[/name_m], my husband loves [name_m]Kieran[/name_m], and I would love to honor my brother with the name [name_m]George[/name_m].

Any thoughts?! Thank you!!!

[name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] is beautiful!

I don’t see any problem with [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] and a last name that starts with n, I know somebody who’s first name ends with -er and last name ends with -er, and they don’t seem to have any troubles with it.

Other ideas:

[name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Hadley[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Harper[/name_f]

[name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Ruby[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] “Gwen”

Congratulations! [name_m]Graham[/name_m], [name_m]Rhys[/name_m], and [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] all go great together! Both [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Presley[/name_f] and [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] are nice, but I think I prefer [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]- it feels so elegant and lovely! The three “n” endings aren’t necessarily a bad thing! I actually like the rhythm of them! [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] uh-rick-ee-an has a cool rhythm to it for me!

[name_m]Kieran[/name_m] [name_m]George[/name_m] is very handsome for a boy as is [name_m]Kieran[/name_m] [name_m]Brooks[/name_m]! If the connection with [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] bothers you and/or your husband, I would probably use [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] in the middle spot!

[name_f]Catherine[/name_f] has a lot of variants - if you don’t want all three names to end in -n, what about using one of those? [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Caterina[/name_f] is pretty.

For boy names, I think you should consider adding to your list:
[name_m]Cameron[/name_m]
[name_m]Callum[/name_m]
[name_m]Corbin[/name_m]
[name_m]Booker[/name_m]
[name_m]Soren[/name_m]
and then use [name_m]George[/name_m] as the middle. [name_m]George[/name_m] goes well as a middle name with nearly any first name in my opinion.

I do think [name_m]Graham[/name_m] and [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] are a little close. Not a deal breaker, and I always think you should use the name you love. But I felt like it was worth mentioning in case you hadn’t considered it.
Of your boy name choices, I like [name_m]Kieran[/name_m] best with [name_m]Graham[/name_m] & [name_m]Rhys[/name_m].

I see what you mean, I think that would bother me too. Here are some derivatives of [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] without -n endings, incase they appeal:
[name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Cady[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Cait[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Cayleigh[/name_f], [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Cailey[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Caitria[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Caitriona[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Catrinel[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Catalina[/name_f]

If you like this idea, you might want to look into the K beginning versions too

I love [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Presley[/name_f]

[name_m]Cameron[/name_m] feels like it might be worth suggesting?

So funny - I absolutely love [name_m]Cameron[/name_m] too but I always feel like it would be “cam” and “Graham” :upside_down_face::upside_down_face: which is why I don’t want Camden… but my husbands name is [name_m]Ben[/name_m] so I guess [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] and [name_m]Ben[/name_m] would rhyme too lol

[name_f]My[/name_f] husband loves callum!

[name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Presley[/name_f] is so cool and unexpected! [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] is very elegant as well. [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Presley[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] or [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Presley[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] would be wonderful, if you want to consider a double middle name.
For a boy, [name_m]Camden[/name_m] [name_m]George[/name_m] sounds very handsome! [name_m]Kieran[/name_m] [name_m]George[/name_m] and [name_m]Callum[/name_m] [name_m]George[/name_m] are also really nice ideas.

Congratulations :tada:

Absolutely love Gwen Catherine a really elegant, classic choice that has a retro vibe. I think she sounds great with your surname I do not think you have any issues with the ‘n’ sound. Absolutely love Gwen Catherine! Cannot praise enough!

Other ideas which are a bit like Gwen…

Gemma, Guinevere, Gwyneth, Gwendolen, Fiona, Ingrid, Winnie, Winika, Faye, Freida, Geneva & Ginerva.

I did think maybe Catherine Presley could be a pretty choice and includes your two honour choices. Catherine Presley has a pretty southern Belle flair that works with the boys.

Suggestions (please count any repeats as me being in agreement with the berries)

Felicity Catherine
Ruth Presley
Clara Presley
Trudy Catherine
Hope Catherine
Goldie Catherine
June Presley
Violet Presley
Leona Catherine
Cerys Presley
Ivy Catherine
Josie Catherine
Sadie Catherine
Pearl Catherine

Moving onto your boy names I do love Brooks! I think Brooks is handsome, outdoorsy and sounds good with your boys. Regarding the ex situation is this person a regular feature in your life? Was Brooks around when your husband was dating her? Or Brooks a child born subsequently after their relationship has ceased? For me if I never see this person and this child was born way after the end of their relationship I think it’s a non issue. So I would just weigh up your thoughts and feelings on the situation. Moving onto Camden & Kieran I prefer Kieran he just feels more timeless and classic. Also Kieran, Gr@ham & Rhy5 share similar origins so it feels stylistically in keeping with the sibling set. All three work well with the middle name George. Some middle ground between Camden & Kieran I think are Cameron, Cormac, Callum and Kade. Thinking about your middle name Presley George could work as a first and middle name paying tribute to you and your family.
Other ideas…

Holden George

Oakley George

Hope this helps

I think [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] __an sounds totally fine. [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] and [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Presley[/name_f] are both great options for a girl. Other ideas: [name_f]Kate[/name_f] [name_f]Presley[/name_f], [name_f]Leigh[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Presley[/name_f], [name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Presley[/name_f], [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f].

[name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Presley[/name_f] and [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] are both lovely! I think either are fine with your surname, but if you’re not convinced, what about a variant of [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]? Like:

[name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Catharina[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwen[/name_f] Katrina/Caitriona

I think [name_m]George[/name_m] and Kieran/Ciaran are both lovely with your boys—here’s some additional ideas:

[name_m]Graham[/name_m], [name_m]Rhys[/name_m], and [name_m]Everett[/name_m] (or Elliot)
[name_m]Graham[/name_m], [name_m]Rhys[/name_m], and [name_m]Vincent[/name_m]

[name_m]Graham[/name_m], [name_m]Rhys[/name_m], and [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]
[name_m]Graham[/name_m], [name_m]Rhys[/name_m], and [name_m]Declan[/name_m]
[name_m]Graham[/name_m], [name_m]Rhys[/name_m], and [name_m]August[/name_m]
[name_m]Graham[/name_m], [name_m]Rhys[/name_m], and [name_m]Winslow[/name_m]
[name_m]Graham[/name_m], [name_m]Rhys[/name_m], and [name_m]Felix[/name_m]
[name_m]Graham[/name_m], [name_m]Rhys[/name_m], and [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] (or Oliver)
[name_m]Graham[/name_m], [name_m]Rhys[/name_m], and [name_m]Frederick[/name_m]
[name_m]Graham[/name_m], [name_m]Rhys[/name_m], and [name_m]Finn[/name_m]
[name_m]Graham[/name_m], [name_m]Rhys[/name_m], and [name_m]Calvin[/name_m]
[name_m]Graham[/name_m], [name_m]Rhys[/name_m], and [name_m]Theo[/name_m]
[name_m]Graham[/name_m], [name_m]Rhys[/name_m], and [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
[name_m]Graham[/name_m], [name_m]Rhys[/name_m], and [name_m]Seamus[/name_m]

Good luck!

You could do [name_f]Cate[/name_f] to honour [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]. Possibly do 2 middles to get to use [name_f]Presley[/name_f] and have the name be [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Presley[/name_f] [name_f]Cate[/name_f]

For the girls names you could also do an international variant for [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] like [name_f]Carine[/name_f]

I know you mentioned using [name_m]George[/name_m] to honour your brother but you can also use [name_m]Theron[/name_m] (even as a first name) to honour [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] (caTHERiNe) as well

Other boy names you may like

[name_m]Alden[/name_m] / [name_m]Archer[/name_m] / [name_m]Benson[/name_m] / [name_m]Bram[/name_m] / [name_m]Caden[/name_m] / [name_m]Conway[/name_m] / [name_f]Ellery[/name_f] / [name_m]Evren[/name_m] / [name_m]Fenton[/name_m] / [name_m]Frasier[/name_m] / [name_m]Kasen[/name_m] / [name_m]Kellan[/name_m] / [name_m]Ledger[/name_m] / [name_m]Linden[/name_m] / [name_f]Marlo[/name_f] / [name_m]Quaden[/name_m] / [name_m]Stellan[/name_m] /Soren / [name_m]Tomlin[/name_m] / [name_m]Wells[/name_m]

Also I do love [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Presley[/name_f]! It has a very edgy and spunky feel to it!

[name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] U-rick-ee-an sounds fine to me. I think the mix of sounds and syllable helps it flow.

You could consider:

[name_f]Gwenore[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]
