We’re still looking for the perfect name for our little guy. 3rd and final baby joining our crew in [name_u]October[/name_u]. Sisters names are [name_u]Bennett[/name_u] [name_u]Lynn[/name_u] and [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] [name_u]Ryan[/name_u]. I like names that aren’t in the top 100, unique without being totally out there and for girls I lean more gender neutral which is making naming a little boy VERY hard. We have a short list but nothing is feeling like the right one. With our girls I just knew that was their name. And I haven’t had that same feeling yet. I’m hoping some one might have the winning name.
I like but my husband doesn’t…
[name_m]Holt[/name_m]
[name_u]Walker[/name_u]
We both like…
[name_u]Reid[/name_u]
[name_u]Landon[/name_u]
Current front runner that my husband and I are both good with is [name_u]William[/name_u] [name_u]Callahan[/name_u] nn [name_u]Cal[/name_u]. I’m only hesitating because I’m not sold on [name_u]Callahan[/name_u] even though it’s a family name. I prefer [name_m]Calvin[/name_m] and my husband doesn’t. I want to either call him by his longer name or nickname and [name_u]Callahan[/name_u] feels harder to say for some reason? Any others I’m not thinking of that might be good to add to our list? I seem to be gravitating towards shorter boys names. Again, don’t want anything in the top 100.
Would love to use a family name is some regard so far our list of contenders to use are [name_u]William[/name_u], [name_m]Harris[/name_m] or Jowers. Currently still combing the family tree.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] your girls’ names. To jump right in, my sense is the names you’re thinking for your son aren’t especially gender neutral, they’re “boys” names. Might be we’re more comfortable giving boys names to girls than the other way around…? Anyway here are some names that do get worn by both genders at least somewhat evenly and that might match well:
Congratulations on your coming little one! I noticed that your girls’ names (both great choices, btw) both end in tt and, should you want to do the same with [name_u]Baby[/name_u] [name_m]Boy[/name_m], here’s some options:
Also, if you’re not sure about [name_u]Callahan[/name_u], have you thought about [name_u]Callum[/name_u]? Only downside is that it probably wouldn’t work with [name_u]William[/name_u], though…
Alongside your girls [name_u]Walker[/name_u], [name_m]Holt[/name_m], and [name_u]Reid[/name_u] fit beautifully. I would aim to avoid the double t ending but not a big deal. Other suggestions….
[name_m]Wells[/name_m]
[name_m]Gable[/name_m]
[name_m]Merrick[/name_m]
[name_m]Innes[/name_m]
[name_u]Maguire[/name_u] (Mac is an option)
[name_u]Remi[/name_u]
[name_m]Rafferty[/name_m]
[name_m]Felix[/name_m]
[name_m]Piers[/name_m]
[name_m]Ivo[/name_m]
[name_m]Magnus[/name_m]
[name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_m]Nash[/name_m]
[name_m]Caleb[/name_m] [name_u]William[/name_u] or Caligula [name_u]William[/name_u]
[name_m]Calix[/name_m] [name_m]Harris[/name_m] or [name_u]Calloway[/name_u] [name_m]Harris[/name_m]
[name_u]Calder[/name_u] [name_u]Reid[/name_u] or [name_f]Callisto[/name_f] [name_u]Reid[/name_u]
[name_u]Callan[/name_u] [name_m]Holt[/name_m] or [name_u]Callum[/name_u] [name_m]Holt[/name_m]
[name_m]Caldwell[/name_m] [name_u]Landon[/name_u] or [name_m]Calvert[/name_m] [name_u]Landon[/name_u]
[name_m]Calhoun[/name_m] [name_u]Walker[/name_u] or Calderon [name_u]Walker[/name_u]
[name_m]Waylon[/name_m] came to mind first. Fits stylistically with your likes (Holt, Walker), holds a similarity to [name_u]Land[/name_u]on and [name_u]William[/name_u]. Also goes well with the rest of the sibling set in my opinion.
A few others for consideration… (count any repeats as second votes!)
[name_m]Malcolm[/name_m] “Mac” (but I could see “Cal” working here) [name_m]Warren[/name_m] [name_u]Reese[/name_u] / [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] [name_u]Brooks[/name_u] [name_u]Carter[/name_u] [name_u]Wallace[/name_u] [name_u]Holden[/name_u] [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] [name_m]Cole[/name_m] [name_u]Hayes[/name_u] [name_m]Dalton[/name_m] [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] [name_m]Willem[/name_m] [name_u]Pascal[/name_u] “Cal” [name_u]Quentin[/name_u] / [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] [name_m]Heath[/name_m] [name_u]Calen[/name_u] / [name_u]Calin[/name_u] “Cal” [name_m]Linus[/name_m] [name_m]Russell[/name_m] [name_m]Colton[/name_m] [name_m]Stellan[/name_m] [name_u]Willard[/name_u]
Here are some of my favorites that have already been mentioned: [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m], [name_m]Harrison[/name_m], [name_u]Willard[/name_u], [name_u]Rhodes[/name_u], [name_m]Merrick[/name_m], [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m]
