I’m due my second son in a few weeks time and DH and I are struggling to agree on names. Our first born is [name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_m]Webb[/name_m]. I like [name_m]Wilf[/name_m] for the next baby but he favours [name_u]Max[/name_u]. He also loves the name [name_m]Will[/name_m] but as our sons middle name is [name_m]William[/name_m] I don’t want to use it. [name_m]Wilf[/name_m] is a good compromise I think as I think it’s cuter and more interesting than [name_m]Will[/name_m]. Our options for this baby are…
[name_u]Max[/name_u] [name_u]River[/name_u] [name_m]Webb[/name_m]
[name_u]Maxwell[/name_u] [name_u]River[/name_u] [name_m]Webb[/name_m]
[name_m]Wilfred[/name_m] [name_u]River[/name_u] [name_m]Webb[/name_m] ([name_m]Wilf[/name_m] for short)
[name_m]Wilfred[/name_m] [name_u]Fox[/name_u] [name_m]Webb[/name_m]
I love [name_u]Max[/name_u] so much! I know it’s insanely popular, but it’s for good reason
[name_u]Max[/name_u] and [name_u]Finn[/name_u] would be a great set! [name_m]Wilf[/name_m] is also cute, but I think he would commonly get mistaken for [name_m]Will[/name_m] or [name_u]Wolf[/name_u]. Not sure if that would bother you, but something to take into account.

Wilfred [name_u]River[/name_u] and [name_m]Wilfred[/name_m] [name_u]Fox[/name_u] are so handsome, quirky, and cute! [name_m]Wilf[/name_m] is just so adorable, and goes so nicely with [name_u]Finn[/name_u]! I also think the “[name_m]Wil[/name_m]” in both [name_m]William[/name_m] and [name_m]Wilfred[/name_m] is a cute connection between the two.
Max [name_u]River[/name_u] is sweet too! I think it’s another great choice, I just slightly prefer [name_m]Wilf[/name_m]. You can’t go wrong though!

Maxwell [name_u]River[/name_u] nn [name_u]Max[/name_u] would be perfect! [name_u]Maxwell[/name_u]/Max and [name_u]Finn[/name_u] sound great together.
Unfortunately, [name_m]Wilfred[/name_m] is too close to [name_m]William[/name_m] in my opinion. I also prefer [name_u]Maxwell[/name_u] over [name_m]Wilfred[/name_m] and [name_u]Max[/name_u] over [name_m]Wilf[/name_m].

I vote for [name_u]Max[/name_u] [name_u]River[/name_u] [name_m]Webb[/name_m]. But I’m partial to [name_u]Max[/name_u] because its my sons name.
I think [name_m]Wilf[/name_m] will confuse a lot of people. Is it [name_m]Will[/name_m] or [name_u]Wolf[/name_u]? I confess I thought it was a typo before I read your whole post.

Welcome to Nameberry! I definitely prefer [name_u]Max[/name_u]. Maybe [name_u]Maxwell[/name_u] [name_m]Wilf[/name_m] or [name_u]Max[/name_u] [name_m]Wilfred[/name_m]?

I definitely prefer [name_m]Wilfred[/name_m] and [name_u]Maxwell[/name_u] to [name_m]Wilf[/name_m] and [name_u]Max[/name_u].
Given that there’s already a [name_m]William[/name_m] I would go for [name_u]Maxwell[/name_u]
