Im still early in my pregnancy, and nervous since i had a m/c in the fall at 12 weeks, but of course i cant stop thinking about names should this baby stick, and we are ever so blessed
We have a beautiful almost 3 year old daughter named [name]Anneke[/name] (pronounced the european way of ON NE KE)
[name]Anneke[/name] [name]June[/name]
If we have a girl next we are pretty set on [name]Beatrice[/name]. no back up, which may be dangerous!
A boy we have more trouble with. I loved [name]Feliks[/name], but not my husband, and now i have a friend with a [name]Felix[/name]. not a close friend, but we still see them for play dates here and there. so [name]Feliks[/name] is out, but i may use for a middle name. So many people i know have the names we love; so we have come up with a few we love that we dont know ANY [name]ONE[/name] with the names! our backgrounds are easter european (Czech) and Dutch. We live in southwestern [name]Ontario[/name], [name]Canada[/name]. [name]Anneke[/name] gets mispronounced sometimes, but, not usually after ppl hear the proper pronunciation, and/or a lot of older folks know an [name]Anneke[/name] so they know the proper pronunciation.
[name]Levon[/name] ([name]LEE[/name] [name]VON[/name]) nn [name]Lee[/name] or [name]Levi[/name], we prefer [name]Levi[/name]
[name]Arlo[/name] (does [name]Anneke[/name] and [name]Arlo[/name] sound too cheesy, or actually pair well??)
[name]Leif[/name] ([name]LEAF[/name])
i really like [name]Viggo[/name] but husband not at all!
[name]Larson[/name] nn [name]Lars[/name]
what does everyone think, any suggestions? thanks everyone!
[name]Levi[/name] sounds amazing. I’ve always loved that name!
Some suggestions:
[name]Dano[/name] [czech]
[name]Dushan[/name] [czech]
Miklos [czech]
[name]Decimus[/name] [latin but still pretty]
[name]Calix[/name] or Caliks [maybe instead of [name]Feliks[/name]?]
[name]Zevi[/name] [variation of [name]Levi[/name]?]
[name]Niko[/name] or [name]Nikos[/name] [greek]
thanks for the reply so soon! love it.
we have friends with a niko, so thats out, i do love it too!
i do like Miklos, but not as much as the others.
i like nickname names, so thats why i like [name]Levon[/name], and nn. levi. and so far the only levi i know is the son of a facebook friend, who i never see in real life, and we only knew each other from a yoga and baby class 3 years ago, we chat occasionally on each others facebook posts.
Caliks, is very interesting, but i kno wmy hubby wouldnt like it.
I love your idea of Arlo. I think Anneke and Arlo work very well together. I also like Leif, but Ive only ever heard it pronounced LAYF, as in Ericson. Larson works well with Anneke, though I can’t say I like it very much. Levon seems out of place.
Some other ideas:
[name]Leon[/name]
[name]Ezra[/name]
Lucas
[name]Finn[/name]
[name]Simon[/name]
[name]Jonas[/name]
[name]Lionel[/name]
Theron
Stellan
Magnus
[name]Hugo[/name]
[name]Oscar[/name]
[name]Liam[/name]
[name]Axel[/name]
[name]Anton[/name]
Evren
[name]Julius[/name]
[name]Jules[/name]
[name]Miles[/name]
[name]Alban[/name]
[name]August[/name]
[name]Caspar[/name]
[name]Emil[/name] (eh MEEl)
[name]Elliot[/name]
[name]Noel[/name]
[name]Milo[/name]
[name]Matteo[/name]
[name]Colin[/name]
[name]Anneke[/name] [name]June[/name] is such a beautiful name! I love it. I wish you all the best with your pregnancy.
[name]Levon[/name]. Is this pr LEEvon or LeeVON ? Not sure which syllable to put the emphasis on. If it’s LEEvon, it sounds like the words “Leave on,” to me, and that puts me off. Hmm. [name]How[/name] about [name]Leon[/name]? It’s quite popular in Europe yet perhaps more familiar in pronunciation over here. Or [name]Leos[/name], Czech form of [name]Leo[/name]. If you love [name]Levi[/name], I would just go with that as a first name though. [name]Levi[/name] [name]Feliks[/name] works well!
[name]Arlo[/name]. I really like this name. I happen to like [name]Anneke[/name] and [name]Arlo[/name], I think it’s adorable NOT cheesy.
[name]Leif[/name]. [name]Anneke[/name] and [name]Leif[/name] just doesn’t have the same ring to it as your other choices, for me.
[name]Larson[/name]. I like this. [name]Lars[/name] is a great nickname, a Dutch (and many other languages I know) classic. Nameberry’s official descrip: “[name]Lars[/name] is a perfect candidate for a cross-cultural passport: it has been heard often enough here to sound familiar and friendly, yet retains the charisma of a charming foreigner.” At this moment, [name]Anneke[/name] [name]June[/name] & [name]Larson[/name] [name]Feliks[/name] is my favorite combination!

[name]Levon[/name] is pronounced [name]LEE[/name] [name]VAUGHN[/name], so yes like leave on. think [name]Levon[/name] the song by elton john, or [name]Levon[/name] Helm from The Band.
We are a music loving family!
[name]Levon[/name], with nickname [name]Levi[/name], i dont like [name]Levi[/name] on its own because when he is older he can chose [name]Levon[/name], perhaps more professional than [name]Levi[/name]? or he can keep [name]Levi[/name], more fun and upbeat.
[name]Larson[/name] is great (lars nn.) however, its growing on me…
thanks for the comments about [name]Arlo[/name] and [name]Anneke[/name] together. sometimes i think its too variety show like, but i have to remember siblings aren’t together forever all the time…
i also dont like using same letter names, like arlo and anneke… but… it just so happened that i like the two names and they happen to start with ‘a’!! funny factoid? [name]Arlo[/name] [name]Guthrie[/name]'s third wife was named [name]Anneke[/name]. hehe sort of a sign i suppose. we love woody guthrie and all musicians inspired by him
i like the name [name]Guthrie[/name] too.
[name]Leon[/name] its ok. prefer [name]Levon[/name], nn [name]Levi[/name]
[name]Ezra[/name] too biblical for my husband
[name]Lucas[/name] too popular.
[name]Finn[/name] too popular
[name]Simon[/name] i know a simon on my street
[name]Jonas[/name] too biblical
[name]Lionel[/name] all i think of is [name]Lionel[/name] richie
[name]Theron[/name] how do you pronounce this? i think of [name]Charlize[/name] [name]Theron[/name]
[name]Stellan[/name] reminds me of Stalin :o
[name]Magnus[/name] my name is meghan… too close i think… too video game i dont know?! lol
[name]Hugo[/name] hmm
[name]Oscar[/name] i like [name]Oskar[/name]… husband not much
[name]Liam[/name] too popular
[name]Axel[/name] like this one a lot. but [name]Aksel[/name]. hmmm can i get over the axel rose reference… i think so
[name]Anton[/name] i like it, but again with the music reference to [name]Anton[/name] [name]Newton[/name]… not sure i like THAT reference ! (for those who know who he is…
Evren looks incomplete to me
[name]Julius[/name] julius cesar?
[name]Jules[/name] too feminine

[name]Milo[/name] see above!
[name]Matteo[/name] not a huge fan
[name]Colin[/name] not a fan
Well, there are many suggest you very good and interesting names above which can be very good for your boy but if I have to suggest you then I will go for [name]Levi[/name]. It sounds really good to me, it is might be well.
