We are liking the name Wyatt. Wondering how popular it is? SS website says it’s #29 but I’ve only met 2 people with the name ever. One young adult and one child. Our other children’s names aren’t super unique but at the same time not popular — we didn’t choose the names for these reasons though. My worry is that it would become really popular/common in the near future. We have a common last name and that’s the reason why I’m asking
Marshall, Suzy & Wyatt (?)

I really like [name_u]Wyatt[/name_u]! It’s possible it’s less common in your area than nationwide (you can find state-specific data on the Social Security website that might be more helpful). I don’t think it’s too common, though it may continue rising, and I really like it with [name_m]Marshall[/name_m] and [name_f]Suzy[/name_f]! Personally I know more Oscars than Wyatts.

I’ve met a lot of Oscars, but only three Wyatts in my life. One is in his late 50’s, one is in his 30’s, and one is going into the third grade.
Honestly, I prefer [name_m]Oscar[/name_m]! I’ve only met one, actually, and he is pushing 40. I know several Wyatts. (I’m on west coast US)

I prefer [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] much more and it depends on where you live, but I know more Wyatts than Oscars.

I love [name_u]Wyatt[/name_u] and it was almost the name of my son. [name_m]Alas[/name_m] I am a teacher and had a student named [name_u]Wyatt[/name_u] so hubby and I just couldn’t use it. But it’s a great choice!

I like [name_u]Wyatt[/name_u]! I think it fits in really nicely with [name_m]Marshall[/name_m] and [name_f]Suzy[/name_f] too. I only know one person named [name_u]Wyatt[/name_u] and they are in their 30s. So I agree that it doesn’t seem like an overly popular name to me either. I like [name_u]Wyatt[/name_u] a lot more than [name_m]Oscar[/name_m]. I say you go for it!
[name_u]Wyatt[/name_u] is trending up and a lot more popular than [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] but its always possible that his best friend could end up being named [name_m]Oscar[/name_m]. There’s no guarantee of anything with popularity or what names your neighbors might pick. [name_m]Ive[/name_m] personally only ever met one person (a Spanish teacher who was Puerto Rican) and a dog named [name_m]Oscar[/name_m]. Never met a [name_u]Wyatt[/name_u]. I think [name_f]Sesame[/name_f] [name_f]Street[/name_f] might be holding [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] back lol.
[name_m]Marshall[/name_m], [name_f]Suzy[/name_f], and [name_u]Wyatt[/name_u] go great together.
