Boy Name

Hello, we found out a few months ago that our first child is a boy, we need a little help picking his name. His father feels that he is set on the name [name_m]Tiberius[/name_m] but I really like [name_m]Julian[/name_m]. We are open to other ideas and we also need help finding a middle name. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any ideas about what would go with [name_m]Tiberius[/name_m] or [name_m]Julian[/name_m]?

If you’re open to using both names, [name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_m]Tiberius[/name_m] sounds great to me. Here are some more names you might like:

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps!

Loving the old [name_m]Roman[/name_m] vibe I’m getting!

I prefer [name_m]Tiberius[/name_m], but they’re both great and could each work as a middle name for the other if needed. Nicknames could be [name_u]Terry[/name_u], [name_u]Berry[/name_u], Tiber, [name_m]Russ[/name_m], Trius, [name_f]Ibby[/name_f]/Ibi, Tibs . . .

As for middles, would there be any family names you’d like to use, or people/places to honour, or a preferred style? E.g. nature names for middles? Or is it just whatever takes your fancy?

[name_m]Tiberius[/name_m] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m]
[name_m]Tiberius[/name_m] [name_m]Jacob[/name_m]
[name_m]Tiberius[/name_m] Lothair
[name_m]Tiberius[/name_m] [name_m]Gideon[/name_m]
[name_m]Tiberius[/name_m] [name_m]Caspar[/name_m]
[name_m]Tiberius[/name_m] [name_m]Duncan[/name_m]
[name_m]Tiberius[/name_m] [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m]
[name_m]Tiberius[/name_m] [name_m]Andrew[/name_m]

For some reason I like the traditional middles with [name_m]Tiberius[/name_m]; usually I prefer everything to be unusual!

[name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_m]Marcellus[/name_m]
[name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_u]Francis[/name_u]
[name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_m]Casimir[/name_m]
[name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_u]Poe[/name_u]
[name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_m]Bartholomew[/name_m]
[name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m]
[name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_m]Altair[/name_m]
[name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_m]Matthias[/name_m]

Other suggestions (as well as the second names above):

[name_m]Hadrian[/name_m] / [name_m]Adrian[/name_m]

EDIT: Adding Justinius/Justinian and Theodoric/Theodosius.

I agree that using both might solve your problem, and [name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_m]Tiberius[/name_m] is a great name!

I like [name_m]Julian[/name_m] [name_m]Titus[/name_m], but [name_m]Tiberius[/name_m], no, except for a big orange cat.

You could split the difference and go with [name_m]Julius[/name_m].
