So… we are not pregnant, but TTC our first. I have a whole list of names. I have not yet found a boy name I’m crazy about. We love several girl names. I like names that sound cute/sweet, and beautiful at the same time, for girls, but also meaningful. Our top two are [name_f]Hope[/name_f] and [name_f]Eliana[/name_f]… probably [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] (we like this slightly more than [name_f]Hope[/name_f]). We just adore it (and both are meaningful… hope is self explanatory and Eliana means “God Answered”… we have the possibility of fertility issues, and have already been trying for 5 cycles so this child will be very prayed for and wanted!!! For boys, nothing has struck us like that. We have several that are pretty nice, but nothing that I’m in love with. A few we like are [name_m]Josiah[/name_m] (husband doesn’t love), [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] (but DH’s brother has this name so that’s a bit weird), [name_m]Yosef[/name_m] (but that might be weird because we aren’t really Jewish or anything), and [name_m]Zephaniah[/name_m], and [name_m]Malachi[/name_m]… but nothing is like my [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] where I love!!! Any suggestions for us, that would sound like the same style as [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] or [name_f]Hope[/name_f]?
Also, one slightly awkward thing is that my [name_m]BIL[/name_m] has a daughter named [name_f]Aliana[/name_f] with his exgirlfriend. I almost never see [name_f]Aliana[/name_f] (saw her twice in her entire life), so we think it would be ok to use [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] which is similar, and we both adore. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think that is fine?

I probably wouldn’t choose something that close to a relative’s name, but since you don’t see her often, I don’t think it matters! If you love a name, you should go with it.

About your boys’ names, I noticed you like biblical/hebrew names and me too. My favorites are [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] and [name_m]Emmanuel[/name_m]. Other names you might like:

Our name is 1 syllable by the way and rhymes with Heel (but it’s not that! lol… so you can get a sense of what would sound best…)
