[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone… expecting baby #3 later this year and are staying team green! We have two girls names picked out that we love that go (we think!) with our daughters’ names. The boys names on the other hand… we have some that we like, but not love. I thought I could ask for some ideas - maybe there are some awesome names out there that we have overlooked! We would prefer (but it’s not a make-or-break) to avoid names that ended in an “ee” or “ah” sound to separate from our daughters’ names (if that makes sense).
Girl names we love: [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_u]Clare[/name_u] (we also like [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_u]Ruby[/name_u])
Boy names we like but don’t love:
[name_m]Jake[/name_m] (is this too modern for the girls’ names?)
[name_u]Rex[/name_u] (too funky for the girls’ names?)
[name_m]Jack[/name_m] (I like but DH does not)
[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] (love but can’t use for a family reason)
And that’s where we are stuck. Any ideas/thoughts/comments would be greatly appreciated! Naming babies is fun… but hard!
Girls: I really like [name_u]Clare[/name_u] & [name_f]Rose[/name_f] with the other girls names.
Boys: I like [name_m]Jack[/name_m] & [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] (too bad you can’t use it).
[name_u]Rex[/name_u] reminds me of a dog’s name and I don’t think it fits with the girls’ names.
Other boys:
[name_u]Jude[/name_u]
[name_m]Abel[/name_m]
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m]
Husdon
[name_m]Jackson[/name_m] (not sure if that would make a difference with your DH)
[name_u]Carson[/name_u]
[name_m]Maxwell[/name_m]
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] “[name_u]Theo[/name_u]”
[name_m]Levi[/name_m]
[name_m]Miles[/name_m]
[name_m]Gavin[/name_m]
[name_u]Rex[/name_u] is a little strong against the girls’ names. Perhaps the ‘x’ is a little harsh to some people…but you have the two girls and if your blessed with a son, I think it’s okay for his name to go in a little bit different direction.
I personally like [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Stella[/name_f] & [name_u]Rex[/name_u]. The names are all short but impactful. He sounds like a fun guy.
Girl names…
I think [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Stella[/name_f] & [name_f]Kate[/name_f] make a very cohesive sibset…maybe the best combo.
But I am partial to both [name_f]Rose[/name_f] & [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]. They have a little more flair than [name_f]Kate[/name_f]. They are a little more colorful.
Would you consider Lucy, Stella, & Juliet Claire??

Oh I like [name_f]Kaitlin[/name_f] for you for a girl, so perfect with your other daughters names…
For a boy…
[name_m]Jake[/name_m] - I think [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] would be perfect with your girls its Hebrew like [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] and jake is a common nn for it, I know quite a few it was for a while in my generation common in our church and area, [name_u]James[/name_u] is the Latin version
[name_u]Rex[/name_u] I always think trex or a dog :-/ sorry its a valid name it just doesn’t do anything for me
[name_m]Jack[/name_m] used to be a nn for [name_m]John[/name_m] I have an uncle [name_m]John[/name_m] called [name_m]Jack[/name_m], jacks get called [name_u]Jackie[/name_u] a lot and [name_m]Jackson[/name_m]/ [name_m]Jaxon[/name_m] has been very popular and they are often called [name_m]Jack[/name_m] or [name_m]Jax[/name_m] so I personally wouldn’t use it just because it doesn’t go amazingly well with your girls unless you use [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] which I wouldn’t unless your husband or a grandfathers name is [name_m]John[/name_m].
Let’s see [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] I like, but it is usually already taken in families. If you do like [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] possibly [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] or [name_m]Callum[/name_m] both are lovely. I like [name_m]Knox[/name_m] if you really like that x sound its fresher and less used for random things like cats dogs and dinosaurs than [name_u]Rex[/name_u] another option could be [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] which doesn’t have the x but does have the ck like jack and a second syllable ett which makes it the same length as your daughters, but different and in the same style.
[name_m]Nate[/name_m] was my first thought with [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Stella[/name_f]. I’m stuck on N names for some reason. [name_m]Nate[/name_m], [name_m]Nathan[/name_m], [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m], [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m], [name_u]Nico[/name_u], [name_u]Noah[/name_u], [name_m]Nolan[/name_m]?
[name_m]Dominic[/name_m], [name_u]Emmett[/name_u], [name_m]Isaac[/name_m], or [name_m]Julian[/name_m] would be my top picks. Maybe [name_u]Jude[/name_u] or [name_m]Patrick[/name_m]?
I really like [name_m]Jack[/name_m] with [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Stella[/name_f] but also think [name_u]Emmett[/name_u], [name_m]Isaac[/name_m], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], [name_m]Felix[/name_m], and [name_m]Calvin[/name_m] would be lovely with your daughters names.
