What are some boy names that are only popular in [name_f]English[/name_f] speaking countries?
I’ve realized that the vast majority of popular names are international i.e: [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], Noah…
I think most classic names are used in a number of languages, but a lot of modern names, [name_f]English[/name_f] surname names, and [name_f]English[/name_f] word names are only popular in English-speaking countries. Plus some classic English-origin names.
For example…
[name_u]Brayden[/name_u]
[name_u]Chance[/name_u]
[name_m]Lance[/name_m]
[name_u]Keaton[/name_u]
[name_u]Sawyer[/name_u]
[name_u]Sutton[/name_u]
[name_m]Keith[/name_m]
[name_m]Cole[/name_m]
[name_m]Wayne[/name_m]
[name_m]Clark[/name_m]
[name_u]Brody[/name_u]
[name_u]Brady[/name_u]
[name_u]Landon[/name_u]
[name_m]Grant[/name_m]
[name_u]Howard[/name_u]
[name_u]Cecil[/name_u]
[name_m]Rufus[/name_m]
[name_m]Harris[/name_m]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m]
[name_m]Vance[/name_m]
[name_u]Vaughn[/name_u]
[name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_u]Beckett[/name_u]
[name_u]Cooper[/name_u]
[name_m]Waylon[/name_m]
[name_m]Weston[/name_m]
[name_u]Brooks[/name_u]
[name_u]Grayson[/name_u]
[name_u]Carter[/name_u]
[name_u]Carson[/name_u]
I can’t say that these are never used in non-English speaking countries, but with the data available they have only ranked on the charts in English-speaking places (I did include [name_f]Canada[/name_f] as English-speaking, though I know it’s multilingual)
I’m sure you can always find someone with an unexpected [name_f]English[/name_f] name in countries that don’t use [name_f]English[/name_f] as their official language. Specially nowadays that almost everyone has acess to [name_f]English[/name_f] classes, internet and social media, music, tv shows or movies in [name_f]English[/name_f], etc.
I’m not sure if these are exclusively used in [name_f]English[/name_f], but I would say these are not the easiest names to use in other languagues:
[name_u]Logan[/name_u]
[name_u]Barrett[/name_u]
[name_u]Roscoe[/name_u]
[name_u]Camden[/name_u]
[name_m]Godfrey[/name_m]
[name_m]Hank[/name_m]
[name_m]Malcolm[/name_m]
[name_m]Randall[/name_m]
[name_m]Lance[/name_m]
[name_u]Reed[/name_u]
[name_u]Tate[/name_u]
[name_u]Emmett[/name_u]
[name_u]River[/name_u]
[name_m]Bishop[/name_m]
[name_u]Chandler[/name_u]
[name_u]Rhys[/name_u] or [name_u]Reese[/name_u]
[name_m]Graham[/name_m]
[name_u]Blake[/name_u]
[name_u]Austin[/name_u]
[name_m]Archibald[/name_m]
[name_m]Caspian[/name_m]
[name_u]Vaughn[/name_u]
[name_u]Blaze[/name_u]
[name_u]Gideon[/name_u]
[name_m]Lachlan[/name_m]
[name_u]Wyatt[/name_u]
[name_m]Hugh[/name_m]
[name_u]Carlisle[/name_u]
[name_u]Leland[/name_u]
[name_u]Connor[/name_u]
[name_u]Channing[/name_u]
[name_u]Lincoln[/name_u]
Some of these might be used elsewhere, but they only make the rankings in predominantly English-speaking countries:
[name_u]Rory[/name_u]
[name_m]Fergus[/name_m]
[name_u]Hunter[/name_u]
[name_u]Rex[/name_u]
[name_u]Murphy[/name_u]
[name_u]Legend[/name_u]
[name_u]Percy[/name_u]
[name_u]Keegan[/name_u]
[name_m]Rafferty[/name_m]
[name_u]Callum[/name_u]
[name_u]Connor[/name_u]
I’m guessing [name_f]English[/name_f] word names aren’t as popular in other languages. These are all in the top 200 in the U.S. that I don’t think are popular internationally:
[name_u]Mason[/name_u]
[name_u]Maverick[/name_u]
[name_u]Walker[/name_u]
[name_u]Hunter[/name_u]
[name_u]Kingston[/name_u]
[name_u]Ace[/name_u]
[name_u]Legend[/name_u]
[name_u]Ryder[/name_u]
