[name_m]Sirius[/name_m]: I really like it. I think it’s very romantic due to the star association, but also modern thanks to [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m]. It’s unusual yet familiar.
[name_m]Casimir[/name_m]: I like this one, too, but not as much as [name_m]Sirius[/name_m]. It sounds very Polish to me, so I’d assume his parents were Polish/Slavic. [name_m]Cas[/name_m] is a very friendly nickname.
[name_m]Osiris[/name_m]: My least favorite. It’s not a bad name, just not something I’d choose. I’m not a fan of most god/goddess names because they are hard to pull off. Personally, I prefer other Os- names, but that’s just my opinion.
[name_m]Sirius[/name_m] - my main association is [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m]; I don’t think it’s unusable because of that, but rather because of “are you serious”-like jokes, which can start to become pretty annoying, especially as it doesn’t feel like a thing only children would say, so it’s probably going to go on all his life.
[name_m]Casimir[/name_m] - I really like this one, have done so more in the past than now but I still think it’s beautiful and quite romantic; still, it provides youthful and quirky nicknames, which I can see a teenager appreciating
[name_m]Osiris[/name_m] - similar to [name_m]Sirius[/name_m] in vibe but more usable, imo. Definitely has a cool sound!
[name_m]Sylvester[/name_m] -it’s what we call [name_m]New[/name_m] Years [name_f]Eve[/name_f] here in Germany so that’s my main association before [name_m]Sylvester[/name_m] Stallone; it’s a little odd to me because of that, which is why I can’t really give an opinion on it as a name
[name_m]Casimir[/name_m] comes with a cool nn, “Caz”.
From favorite to least favorite
[name_m]Osiris[/name_m] - I really like its sound, nicknames and mythological association
[name_m]Sirius[/name_m] - [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] name, but then there are the “are you serious?” jokes, like pp’s said
[name_m]Sylvester[/name_m] - It has a great sound but I immediately think of the cat
[name_m]Casimir[/name_m] - Not a fan of the -mir sound, but it’s a really nice name anyway
