[name_m]Hi[/name_m]!
I’m having a hard time finding a boy or unisex name that starts with J [preferably a version of “[name_m]John[/name_m]/[name_f]Jane[/name_f]”] That sounds good with [name_m]Lucien[/name_m] [Liu-sh-e-un].
I want to add for more clarity; these will both be middle names, the first name is [name_u]Brennan[/name_u].
I am set on [name_u]Brennan[/name_u] and it as a first name.
And although for many it doesn’t matter much, meaning and the flow of the full name mean a lot to me. I’ve seen posts saying “people won’t see/hear/know the middle name much/often” but it’s I don’t know a mental thing for me, haha
Well, the meaning part is because my family likes to hold pride for what their name stands for.
ALSO I am not dead-set with [name_m]Lucien[/name_m], it’s just a name I constantly keep going back to, but honestly I don’t feel as big of a spark as I used to with it.
There was a rather long period I was considering [name_m]Desmond[/name_m] instead of [name_m]Lucien[/name_m], but I already feel detached to that name.
So names I’ve considered are these [including the first name for flow]
[name_u]Brennan[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_m]Desmond[/name_m]
[name_u]Brennan[/name_u] [name_u]Jaime[/name_u] [name_m]Desmond[/name_m]
[name_u]Brennan[/name_u] [name_u]Joan[/name_u] [name_m]Lucien[/name_m]
[name_u]Brennan[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_m]Lucien[/name_m]
[name_u]Brennan[/name_u] [name_u]Joan[/name_u] [name_u]Fiore[/name_u]
I know nowadays [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is looked at often as a female name instead of unisex like it used to be long ago, so that’s why I’m considering to change it. However, the name is in honour of someone and I found “[name_m]John[/name_m]” is the male version of [name_f]Jane[/name_f].
But…I’m already using [name_m]John[/name_m] for another name [([name_m]Leander[/name_m]) [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_u]Francis[/name_u]]
I think [name_u]Joan[/name_u] is a beautiful boy/uni name, but it doesn’t seem fitting with the rest.
I’ve also recently fell in love with the boy name [name_u]Fiore[/name_u], but again, not sure.
I am NOT a fan of [name_u]Jan[/name_u] or [name_u]Jo[/name_u]. I was suggested by someone to just use J, but that makes me think of [name_u]Jay[/name_u] – which I don’t like either.
So… for in case I confused anyone with my rambling, Looking for a name that stems from [name_m]John[/name_m]/[name_f]Jane[/name_f] and another name that goes with it!
Possible other helpful details:
Last name starts with M
[name_u]Brennan[/name_u] means “Teardrop prince” and [name_f]Jane[/name_f]/[name_m]John[/name_m] means “God is gracious”.
Family is dominantly western [minus portugal and spain] and northern european. [I’ve seen others state this info so, maybe it helps?]
Lastly, I’m sorry if some parts don’t make sense, my english isn’t 100%. :???:
PS. Yes, I’m aware I’m probably over-thinking this, but I’m very detail oriented and over-think things in general
I just know, at least for a good chunk of life, they’ll be stuck with these names. I want to try and give “graceful” and meaningful names that they will hopefully like some part of it, be it be the name in general or the meaning behind it - be it literal or honour.
[this is coming from someone who HATES their first name but finds the meaning nice - especially since I was told the meaning was considered when it was chosen for me, but i treasure my middle name more - mainly as it is an honour one too. So I went by it instead of my first whenever possible.]
Thank you!
