Hello! We are seriously stuck for boy’s names. We think we’re having a girl, but want to have a boy’s name at the ready just in case a little ‘he’ pops out!
I love [name]Dashiell[/name] but it doesn’t work with our surname… too much ‘ell’ going on at the ends! Have always loved [name]Gabriel[/name] but same problem… no good with our surname. [name]Alasdair[/name] was tossed around for awhile there, but not sure I love it. Also [name]Edgar[/name], but same thing… just not sure about it. Other than that, we have no ideas!
If it’s a girl she will most likely be [name]Clementine[/name], so we would like a boy’s name with the same feel/style… also want something that is not too popular (ideally not top 100). Is it just me or are all the classic/traditional boys names also really popular?!
Any suggestions would be fantastic! You all have such good taste on here, I would love to hear some new ideas as we are really, completely stuck. Thanks so much
[name]Hi[/name]! I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love [name]Clementine[/name] [name]Campbell[/name]! (And yes, it does seem that most of the classic boys’ names are popular. Oh well…I still love them, though!)
Some names you may like with [name]Clementine[/name]:
[name]Arthur[/name]
[name]Barnaby[/name]
[name]Edmund[/name]
[name]Edward[/name]
[name]Dexter[/name]
[name]Frederick[/name] (Oops! Same ending sound as [name]Campbell[/name]'s beginning)
[name]Henry[/name]
[name]Jude[/name]
[name]Leo[/name]
[name]Oliver[/name]
[name]Theodore[/name] (nn [name]Theo[/name] or [name]Teddy[/name])
[name]William[/name]
I love [name]Clementine[/name] and [name]Theodore[/name] [name]Campbell[/name]!
I second [name]Theodore[/name] with [name]Clementine[/name]. However, if you intend on using the nickname [name]Cleo[/name]/[name]Clio[/name] (which I find to be the only appealing nn) for [name]Clementine[/name]… [name]Cleo[/name] and [name]Theo[/name] is a bit of a problem.
[name]Cleo[/name] and [name]Ted[/name] is cute though!
Also love [name]Oliver[/name], [name]Edmund[/name] and [name]Barnaby[/name].
I do like [name]Clement[/name]/[name]Clem[/name] for a boy (though you may want to keep [name]Clementine[/name] up your sleeve for next time…never say never).
What about:
[name]Clancy[/name] (wub)
[name]Clarence[/name]/[name]Clarry[/name]
[name]Jonathon[/name]/[name]Jonty[/name]
[name]Laurence[/name]/[name]Laurie[/name]
[name]Nicol[/name]
[name]Charles[/name]
[name]Luca[/name]
