Mooooooooo
I like [name]Everett[/name], but I absolutely [name]ADORE[/name] [name]August[/name]!!! It’s just one of those names that is so handsome and sophisticated, rare but familiar, easy-going but serious, creative but rugged. I like [name]Gus[/name], but if you don’t I think it’s easy to avoid - there is absolutely no reason for him to not simply go by his full name [name]August[/name]. You set the lead for that and others will follow unless/until he gets older and decides on his own that he wants to go by a nn (in which case, he may choose [name]Gus[/name], or he may choose something completely unrelated to his name). When he’s a baby/toddler, I think the nn Auggie is adorable!
I have to say, I don’t love [name]Noam[/name], though - I think it reminds me too much of the word gnome.
[name]August[/name] [name]Graham[/name], on the other hand, is absolutely to die for!!!
I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Everett[/name] [name]Reid[/name] out of your top 2 names. Others from your list that I like are; [name]Denny[/name], [name]Archer[/name] - maybe you would like [name]Asher[/name]/[name]Aster[/name]? and [name]Callum[/name] I actually think it goes well with your daughters name.
Lol, it never entered my mind that [name]Noam[/name] may be read as “gnome”!!! I only see it as [name]Noah[/name]+m, like “NoAhm”. I like [name]August[/name] [name]Graham[/name] but it seems a bit long to me with our 3 slb LN. I adore both names though so maybe I could just go for it but I’d think I’d prefer something a bit shorter.
[name]Everett[/name] [name]Reid[/name] is the more masculine sounding name, [name]IMO[/name], so that’s more likely to appeal to my husband. [name]Denny[/name] and [name]Archer[/name] are great MNs but I don’t like them with my top two FN choices.
We’re thinking about calling our boy [name]August[/name] and [name]Augie[/name] for short. I guess with [name]Gus[/name] in reserve if [name]Augie[/name] is too cutesy for a teenager.
For [name]Noam[/name], I think of [name]Noam[/name] Chomsky - excellent intellectual cred. But must admit I pronounce it more like Gnome.
[name]Everett[/name] just doesn’t do it for me, but I can see it’s a perfectly decent name.
Oh, and do you mean [name]Ried[/name] or [name]Reid[/name]?
[name]Reid[/name]/ reed…I like the I spelling best I think.
I’m so sad everyone sees " gnome"…I loved [name]Noam[/name], “know em”, with [name]August[/name]. I love august as FN but I’m having so much trouble finding a MN I like that sounds good with it. I really like [name]Everett[/name] [name]Reid[/name] but [name]August[/name] has slowly taken the top spot in my heart but if I can’t find a NM I love then i guess we’ll be going with the other name.
Thank you for the feedback!
What about [name]August[/name] [name]Reid[/name] or [name]August[/name] [name]Everett[/name]?
I love [name]Everett[/name] [name]Reid[/name] too much to split up. I would rather reserve it for another son down the road.
what do you think about:
[name]August[/name] [name]Penn[/name] (just saw this in another post and loved it)
[name]August[/name] [name]Cole[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Rue[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Poe[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Wren[/name] (I know it’s becoming popular for girls but I love the sound! Too girly?..also with the W LN is it too much?)
[name]August[/name] [name]Yuri[/name]
[name]August[/name] Hannible (too [name]Silence[/name] of the Lambs?)
[name]August[/name] [name]Rye[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Heathcliff[/name] (lawl…husband would die…but I think it sounds like old money, fox hunting, romantic adventures…not my usual style but I like it!!)
[name]August[/name] [name]Patrick[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Reuben[/name]
[name]August[/name] [name]Graham[/name] (still not sure if it sounds right)
…hrmm, that’s all I have for now. Any thoughts?
