[name]Hi[/name],
Thought I’d post a boys name one as well. Over to you then! What would you name a brother to [name]Vale[/name], [name]Flynn[/name] and [name]Darby[/name] (all boys)?
Many thanks, [name]Jessie[/name] x

Thanks jesba: I do like [name]Cole[/name] - not thought of that one before! We had a list for boys too if you would be interested: [name]Rye[/name], [name]Briar[/name], [name]Breccan[/name], [name]Oakley[/name], [name]Sidney[/name], [name]Heath[/name] and [name]Arlo[/name]. Think the y endings are out though… [name]Darby[/name] claimed that one!
Oh good glad you like [name]Cole[/name] : D.
Yes probably best to hold off on [name]Oakley[/name] and [name]Sidney[/name] (and [name]Wiley[/name] from my own list) - I was trying to avoid them but [name]Wiley[/name] slipped on!
[name]Do[/name] you not have the same concerns about -l or -n (like [name]Cole[/name] and [name]Breccan[/name])?
I think an -ee ending could work if it wasn’t -by, but I understand wanting to avoid. Same thing on -l and -n.
Hmm you do have a point about the l and n but I just don’t notice them… Maybe it’s because the ee sound is so prominent and on a separate syllable from the rest of the name… I hear ayl with [name]Vale[/name], and in with [name]Flynn[/name] but eee with [name]Darby[/name] so would want to avoid those sounds. [name]Cole[/name] is ohl and [name]Breccan[/name] is an. Interesting though!
Oh no just came up with a snag for [name]Cole[/name]… [name]Cole[/name] Ashdown? That sounds a bit off - ah well!
OK, good to know -l and -n are in as long as it’s not too identical with [name]Vale[/name] and [name]Flynn[/name]. Might help me think of some more girl names for you down the road.
[name]Ah[/name] yes, [name]Coal[/name] and [name]Ash[/name] is probably too much. I remember thinking about that for you with [name]Ember[/name] after I’d already posted. And I almost suggested [name]Asha[/name] in the girls’ thread and then realized it wouldn’t work!
Oh I love [name]Briar[/name]! [name]How[/name] cool. I’m a sucker for botanical names. I love the name Nettle myself, but I admit it’s pretty odd. [name]Hart[/name], [name]Gil[/name], [name]Clancy[/name] or [name]Dashiell[/name]?
My first thoughts were [name]Roman[/name], [name]Alaric[/name], [name]Cormac[/name], [name]Benedict[/name], [name]Frisco[/name] and [name]Ivan[/name].
[name]Jansen[/name]
[name]True[/name]
[name]Easton[/name]
[name]Wyatt[/name]
[name]Jacoby[/name]
[name]Corbin[/name]
[name]Sayer[/name]
I really like [name]Arlo[/name] and [name]Heath[/name] from your list with your boys. [name]Vale[/name], [name]Flynn[/name], [name]Darby[/name] and [name]Arlo[/name] and [name]Vale[/name], [name]Flynn[/name], [name]Darby[/name] and [name]Heath[/name] just seem perfect to me.
My first thought is [name]Tiernan[/name].
Vale, Flynn, Darby, and:
Blake
Blaine
Colin
Doyle
Kyle
Tate
Thankyou all, I do like [name]Ivan[/name] and [name]Tiernan[/name]. This is harder than girls!
[name]Vale[/name], [name]Flynn[/name], [name]Darby[/name] and
[name]Trent[/name]
[name]Clark[/name]
[name]Ivo[/name]
[name]Conrad[/name]
[name]Roland[/name]
[name]Rufus[/name]
[name]Clement[/name]
[name]Gilbert[/name]
[name]Giles[/name]
[name]Cedric[/name]
[name]Tristan[/name]
[name]Brent[/name]
[name]Lazlo[/name]
[name]Xander[/name]
First name that came to mind for me was [name]Ryder[/name] <3
Vale, Flynn, Darby and Ryder
With [name]Vale[/name], [name]Flynn[/name], and [name]Darby[/name]…
[name]Tobin[/name]
[name]Shea[/name]
[name]Blaine[/name]
[name]Niles[/name] or [name]Niall[/name]
[name]Hugo[/name]
[name]Blair[/name]
[name]Orrin[/name] or [name]Oren[/name]
[name]Brett[/name] or [name]Bret[/name]
[name]Fife[/name]
[name]Sage[/name]
Oh I agree! Naming boys is so much harder than naming girls! A few years ago I had a boy in my class called Tierarnan. He was from [name]Ireland[/name]. I always like that name.
