Any boys names you like or find acceptable at least on girls?
I have a few unisex names that for me fall more on the girls side than the boys, although there isn’t any rhyme or reason to it. But, that being said, I think these names work well on girls:
[name]Leighton[/name]
[name]Blair[/name]
[name]Sloane[/name]
[name]Spencer[/name]
[name]River[/name]
However, if you mean names that are completely boys names that I think could work on girls, I’d say while I’m sure there are some that would work, I’d prefer they stay with the boys! Unless its a maiden name honoring someone (such as [name]James[/name] or [name]Campbell[/name] or something, then thats all right [name]IMO[/name])
[name]Morgan[/name] is truly unisex to me
[name]Rowan[/name], but I still prefer it on boys.
[name]Vivian[/name] - but I prefer the spelling [name]Vivien[/name] or [name]Vivienne[/name] on girls
[name]Rain[/name] I always thought of as feminine but some Berries find it masculine, I’ll throw in a vote for [name]Rain[/name].
I think [name]Archer[/name] and [name]Mason[/name] are fine on either as I do not believe an occupational name is gendered and girls can shoot bows or lay bricks. I find son-of names far more jarring on a girl, [name]Madison[/name]/[name]Addison[/name]/[name]Emerson[/name] names. [name]Mason[/name] even has that nice [name]May[/name]/[name]Mae[/name] sound on the front.
Honestly I wouldn’t use [name]Archer[/name] or [name]Mason[/name] anyway, I don’t think, just I like I wouldn’t use the “girl” occupational names of [name]Harper[/name] or [name]Piper[/name], but the idea that they’re all four unisex wouldn’t bother me at all.
I don’t mind [name]Reese[/name] on girls, though I’d like if [name]Rhys[/name] remained usable for boys.
I like [name]Billie[/name] for a girl. Not sure how to work it into a combo I like, but I like it for a girl.
[name]Avery[/name] and [name]Emery[/name]. I think [name]Avery[/name] is exceptionally pretty.
I know [name]Mackenzie[/name] has just about went over all to the girls (I have a niece with this name) but I also knew a little boy named this… I think it is adorable on either!
I love [name]Billie[/name] but as a nn for [name]Wilhelmina[/name] or something.
[name]Frankie[/name] for [name]Frances[/name].
[name]Morgan[/name]. I like [name]Alison[/name] but I want the -son stuff to stop there!
I love [name]Charlie[/name] but dislike all of the longforms to get there!
I guess I am more into boyish nns…but I have always toyed with the idea of [name]Asa[/name] & [name]Ira[/name]
I’m one of those that is adamantly against using unisex names, lol, but there are some unisex (and “unisex”) names that I love on girls, and there’s really no reason to it:
[name]Parker[/name]
[name]Brady[/name] (I know! They’re so bad. But I really like them on girls, lol!)
[name]Evan[/name]
[name]Hadley[/name]
[name]Morgan[/name]
[name]Madison[/name]/[name]Addison[/name] (although I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Addison[/name] on boys, too!)
[name]Harper[/name] (see [name]Addison[/name]!)
I think [name]Sloane[/name] works really well for girls, too, although I’m not sure I really love it…
I love [name]Frankie[/name] as a nn for [name]Francesca[/name]
I also like [name]Reese[/name] and [name]Remi[/name]/[name]Remy[/name]
[name]Regan[/name] ([name]REE[/name]-gan) is also one of my faves
I personally love boy names for girls, my name is [name]Sam[/name] and I love it. Here are some of my favs
