Brainstorming for the future!

Hello, Having now decided on our baby’s name, I am now (of course!) wondering about names which would fit! We are still happy with our boys name choice of [name]Albert[/name] [name]Harvey[/name] but would love to hear all ideas on girls names to go with [name]Sidney[/name] [name]Warren[/name] and [name]Eve[/name] [name]Lucinda[/name]. Surname is [name]Matthews[/name]. Thanks! Rach x

Interesting! [name]Both[/name] boys have a sort of serious-but-cool quality and [name]Eve[/name] [name]Lucinda[/name] is so clearly feminine and yet sort of spunky, with that sort of unexpected ending sound. Names I think go well with [name]Eve[/name] and work to varying degrees with the boys:

[name]Jane[/name]
[name]Helen[/name]
[name]Grace[/name]
[name]Rose[/name]
[name]Anne[/name] (a lot of A with [name]Albert[/name] if that matters)
[name]Iris[/name]
[name]Isla[/name]
[name]Leah[/name]
[name]Esther[/name] (a lot of E but a very different sound)
[name]Stella[/name] ([name]Esther[/name]'s more in-style cousin by meaning, a lot of S with [name]Sidney[/name] if that matters)
[name]Vivian[/name] (related to idea of “life”, is a lot of V, but I think it can be done, maybe not [name]Evie[/name] and [name]Vivi[/name] though)
[name]Laura[/name]
[name]Sarah[/name] (more S with [name]Sidney[/name])
[name]Mary[/name]
[name]Nora[/name]
[name]Cora[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name]
[name]Harriet[/name]
[name]Margaret[/name]
[name]Margo[/name]

M names all have some alliteration with your last name of course, not sure if that’s off limits for you or not.

The middle name will depend so much more on the first but from your liking of [name]Lucinda[/name] I imagine maybe something literary and a little bit less common (I’m in the US so my sense might be off if you’re not) than the first:
[name]Jemima[/name]
[name]Tabitha[/name]
[name]Ophelia[/name]
[name]Gwendolen[/name]
[name]Helena[/name]
[name]Beatrix[/name]
[name]Imogen[/name]

Best wishes!

Thanks jesba. I do love [name]Helen[/name], so simple and elegant (was on our list for a while…)! I do also like [name]Rose[/name] a lot! [name]Rose[/name] [name]Helena[/name] is a lovely combo… think will add that to our lists thanks! [name]Rachel[/name] x

That is a really lovely combo! I didn’t think of this when I suggested it, don’t know if you did already, but I think [name]Helen[/name]/[name]Helena[/name] and [name]Lucinda[/name] share a connection to meaning light (Greek for the H names and Latin for L). For my taste, that is all the cooler, though your taste is what matters! Best of luck as you consider names in your search!
