I love the name [name_m]Bram[/name_m](rhymes with [name_m]Graham[/name_m]), but I’m a little worried people will pronounce it sounding like [name_m]Brom[/name_m] or [name_m]Brahm[/name_m]. Thoughts?
I don’t like it, sorry. I prefer [name_m]Graham[/name_m].
If you like it, it’s not that crazy… Although, I pronounced it like ‘pram’.
Like pp, i pronounce it rhyming with pram but it might be an accent thing? I’d suggest asking people around you how they’d say it.
It is a cute, literary and unexpected choice!!
I like [name_m]Bram[/name_m], and I also say it to rhyme with pram. I would’ve thought that would be the most intuitive pronunciation that most would use.
I pronounce it so it rhymes with ‘Pram.’
I think OP is pronouncing [name_m]Graham[/name_m] like [name_m]Gram[/name_m], which is the more common American pronunciation. As an American, I pronounce [name_m]Graham[/name_m] and pram exactly the same way. I would also intuitively pronounce [name_m]Bram[/name_m] this way as well, so I don’t think you have anything to worry about OP! I think the [name_m]Brom[/name_m] pronunciation is far less common.
