Bram šŸ‚

The Dutch name for Abraham is Bram, which means ā€œfather of multitudes.ā€ In 2022, 30 boys were named Bram.

I want to know how you feel about the name Bram.

Either rate it or use emojisā€”the choice is yours.

It it super Dracula to you?

Thanks

I really like [name_m]Bram[/name_m] and I actually forgot about the Dracula connection, so I wouldnā€™t have thought of it without you bringing it up! To me itā€™s gentle and strong, cozy yet grounded ā€“ it reminds me of fall and farms. [name_f]My[/name_f] emojis would be :ear_of_rice::scarf::fallen_leaf:

Iā€™m not familiar with the story of Dracula and am unaware of the assocation, but I love [name_m]Bram[/name_m]. Iā€™m actually considering it as a potential nn for [name_u]Beckham[/name_u] (a stretch? Opinions welcome lol)

I also love it as a nn or alternative to the lovely [name_m]Abram[/name_m].

the :fallen_leaf: emoji you used for the title is actually one I would also use to describe the vibe [name_m]Bram[/name_m] gives me- a little earthy and fall-like, starts off strong and ends on the gentle letter ā€œmā€, masculine yet warm.

bram is very autumnal to me! iā€™d use :fallen_leaf: :cloud_with_rain: :mantelpiece_clock: to describe it.

bram maybe feels a little incomplete to me, but i definitely prefer it to abraham and i can see it on any age.

i donā€™t think bram is too associated with dracula - if anything, i think bram stoker makes the name more familiar and approachable! i donā€™t imagine people ever asking ā€œoh, like bram stoker?ā€ or anything like that.

I love it, especially as a nickname for [name_m]Abraham[/name_m] or [name_m]Abram[/name_m] (though [name_m]Bram[/name_m] stands very well on its own). I do make the Dracula connection, but I donā€™t think itā€™s ā€œsuper Draculaā€ nor would I personally let that stop me from using it. Overall, a solid 8.5/10, great name.

I love it on its own more than [name_m]Abraham[/name_m] honestly.

To me, it is writing letters by candlelight, the feeling of walking into a warm house on a cold winterā€™s night, and freshly baked bread.

Honestly it doesnā€™t sound super good in my accent :unamused: but I LOVE it on paper and/or for someone else!! Itā€™s sooo cozy!

I love [name_m]Bram[/name_m] and would use it as is. It feels complete to me and I prefer to use the name that he will be known as rather than a full name that is never used. Iā€™m not familiar with the Dracula association so that doesnā€™t come to mind.

honestly it didnā€™t immediately strike me as dracula until dracula was brought up. either way, itā€™s not my favorite tbh. maybe itā€™s just too nickname-y for me to stand on its own? i would use a longer name probably and have bram as a nn.

I love [name_m]Bram[/name_m] - such a bright, zippy name, packing a punch with only a few letters. It is very Dracula to me, but I like that :man_shrugging:

I love it since itā€™s already on my list. Dracula is low, not overpowering to me.

Oh I actually love this! It reminds me of one of my favourite cocktails, [name_m]Bramble[/name_m]! [name_m]Hence[/name_m] the berries haha.

Definitely feels very autumnal and earthy :brown_heart:

I have a friend named [name_m]Bram[/name_m]. I think itā€™s a great name thatā€™s easy to say/spell but not overly common. It does get autocorrected a lot to Beam, [name_u]Bean[/name_u], [name_m]Gram[/name_m], etc

[name_f]My[/name_f] husbandā€™s name is [name_m]Abram[/name_m] but he goes by [name_m]Bram[/name_m] a lot the of the time.

Nobody has ever mentioned the Dracula connection, and overall people seem to like his name. Personally he chose to go by [name_m]Bram[/name_m] because itā€™s more approachable and less heavy than [name_m]Abram[/name_m], and it sounds more universal.

I like [name_m]Bram[/name_m]. [name_f]My[/name_f] hesitation on it is I prefer the
br-ahm pronunciation but where I live people tend to pronounce br-ae-m it as if it rhymes with ā€˜clamā€™. It might not be a problem where you live but it is something to think about

[name_m]Bram[/name_m] is lovely! It is a very autumnal name to me, cosy, like a warm hug. I think camping around an open fire and playing in the woods. Iā€™d use :maple_leaf::fallen_leaf::wood: to describe [name_m]Bram[/name_m]

I donā€™t think much of Dracula. I love it and love [name_m]Bramwell[/name_m] and [name_m]Welby[/name_m] too. It is warm, cozy, intelligent.

I really like [name_m]Bram[/name_m]! Iā€™ve met one actually who was effortlessly cool. I made the connection to [name_m]Bram[/name_m]
[name_m]Stoker[/name_m] the first time I met him but it wasnā€™t a negative reaction by any means. I think it works really well.
