Does anyone know very much about [name_m]Breton[/name_m] names? [name_f][/name_f] I’ve been exploring them today after recently discovering a significant portion of my ancestry comes from that region. [name_f][/name_f] I’m fascinated by the combination of [name_m]French[/name_m] and maybe Cornish/Welsh that I’ve noticed so far. [name_f][/name_f] I have a few I’m already considering adding to my list in some way (Maëlle, [name_m]Malo[/name_m], [name_m]Ronan[/name_m], Enora/Elara, [name_f]Awen[/name_f], etc.), but I would love to hear any of your favorites, too, or anything you might want to share about them!
I wouldn’t say that I’m particularly knowledgeable about them, but some of my favourites include [name_f]Nolwenn[/name_f]*, [name_m]Corentin[/name_m] and [name_f]Azenor[/name_f].
*Which is definitely Breton despite Nameberry’s description suggesting otherwise.

[name_f][/name_f] And yes, I was looking through both the official and user submitted lists, I think I found [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] and [name_f]Awen[/name_f] (and Avénie!) on the user submitted list. [name_f][/name_f] I was getting overwhelmed by all the lovely names haha, I thought it would be easier to start by seeing which ones the berries love! [name_f][/name_f] I am most fascinated by [name_f]Maëlle[/name_f] right now, my grandmother’s middle name was [name_f]Mae[/name_f] so it feels like a lovely and unexpected way to honor her! Yes, she’s lovely but not the most practical in English-speaking areas unfortunately!
