What do you think?
I’m a fan of the name, I just can’t find middles to go with it past [name]Rose[/name] and [name]Leigh[/name].
It’s too harsh sounding for my tastes.
I like it a lot. But I’m into botanicals and -er names that aren’t occupational so it’s sort of right up my alley.
I like it, but I think it works better as a middle name. I don’t mind it as a first though. I’d probably smile and say what a pretty name if I met a [name]Briar[/name]. On paper, a lot of people would probably think it was a typo for [name]Brian[/name] however.
I like it best as a middle name. It’s pretty, but difficult to use as a first (in terms of pairing.)
- [name]Athena[/name]
Oooo, I love that name. There are lots of possibilities for a middle name. Maybe go with a three syllable name. [name]Briar[/name] [name]Augusta[/name], [name]Briar[/name] [name]Allegra[/name]…
I love it, in theory. In practice, I have a hard time saying it. I only mention it because I saw your post regarding whether [name]Aurora[/name] is difficult to pronounce.
I think [name]Briar[/name] is on the same level as [name]Greer[/name].
They are both slightly harsher yet beautiful girls names that I always think carry a bit of mystic.
[name]Briar[/name] is on my “if the name doesn’t have to sound good in three different languages” list.
Combos I like are ones where [name]Briar[/name] is combined with a softer and frillier mn.
[name]Briar[/name] [name]Amelie[/name], [name]Briar[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] and [name]Briar[/name] [name]Eleonora[/name] would be right up my alley.
I like [name]Briar[/name], although it is hard to pair it with much.
Maybe [name]Rose[/name], or [name]Snow[/name]?
I like [name]Briar[/name] a lot.
I love it! Sleeping Beauty isn’t my favorite Disney princess story, but I do like it, and I think both [name]Briar[/name] and [name]Aurora[/name] are lovely. I think [name]Briar[/name] edges more on the unisex/edgy side, I really like it as a MN (I’ve considered [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Briar[/name] before). I like it as a FN, too, but I just prefer it as a MN.
We named our son [name]Bryar[/name]. Its famous as a disney name but it was also the name of a character played by [name]Liam[/name] Neeson*[name]Briar[/name] Gates* which is how we found it.
It means thorny bush which isnt the prettiest meaning for a girl.
[name]Aurora[/name] is beautiful.
I went to high school with a guy named [name]Bryar[/name], so the association is masculine to me.
At work we have a 2 year old boy named [name]Brier[/name] [name]Reese[/name], he is soooo cute I can see it on a little girl as well though
It sounds too harsh for my liking on a girl… Reminds me of [name]Bryan[/name] and the ice cream brand!
Its very lovely, I haven’t thought on the name much, but the association I have with [name]Briar[/name] [name]Rose[/name] from the fable gives the name [name]Briar[/name] a sweet feminine vibe to me.
I think it really depends on the last name. It is hard to roll off the tongue. It looks pretty. Also I think of bad names with any name and think of fryer…
