Bridget, Fiona or ?????

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone!

Pregnant with our fourth and final baby and would love some outsider opinions.

We like to stay out of the top 20 and can’t do “H” names as our last name starts with H. We are also big on nicknames.

Which name do you think goes better with our daughter’s name - [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] ([name_f]Gwen[/name_f]) ???

[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] ([name_m]Fin[/name_m])

[name_f]Bridget[/name_f] (nn?)

or ???

I like [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] with [name_f]Gwen[/name_f]! Nickname could also be [name_f]Fifi[/name_f] or [name_f]Nia[/name_f].

I’d say [name_f]Fiona[/name_f], definitely! I like [name_f]Lilith[/name_f], [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], [name_f]Margo[/name_f] and [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] with [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] as well

I like [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] too (I’m half german) but there is no good nickname : (

I love [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] but dislike [name_f]Bridget[/name_f]. [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] is great with [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f]!

I like [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] best with [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f]. Some other possibilities:

[name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] ([name_f]Gwen[/name_f]) and

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecily[/name_f]
[name_f]Corrine[/name_f]
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f]
[name_f]Dorothea[/name_f]
[name_f]Elaine[/name_f] ([name_u]Lanie[/name_u])
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Esme[/name_f]
[name_f]Esther[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_f]Freya[/name_f]
[name_f]Isolde[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucia[/name_f]
[name_f]Maeve[/name_f]
[name_f]Moira[/name_f]
[name_f]Nadia[/name_f]
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
[name_f]Ramona[/name_f]
Rohais
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Rowena[/name_f]
Saiorse
[name_f]Sybil[/name_f]
[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]
[name_f]Tabitha[/name_f]
[name_f]Thalia[/name_f]
[name_f]Verity[/name_f]

[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] is a long time love of mine. I think it’s great with [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f]! [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f], however, is great too. Can’t really come up with any good nick names ideas though, but maybe her initials?

That’s so funny – I know sisters (4 and 7) named [name_f]Gwennie[/name_f] ([name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f]) and [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] (I think they call her Fi [fee]), respectively. So my vote is [name_f]Fiona[/name_f]. I don’t think [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] goes well with [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] and I knew a [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] growing up who got called [name_m]Bridge[/name_m] all the time and it drove her crazy. [name_m]Just[/name_m] a thought.

what about doing the nn [name_f]Indie[/name_f] with the name [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f]?

I love [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] and [name_f]Fiona[/name_f]! I also like [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] and [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] together… But not as much [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] and [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f]. They’re not bad together, they just have they same vowel sounds, and I like the contrast of [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] more.

Thanks for all the suggestions! It looks like [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] is the favourite - I’ll admit that is the way I’m leaning at the moment (this changes weekly).

In a funny side note “Alphabetters” - I couldn’t help but notice that you are planning to name your future baby [name_m]Archer[/name_m] or [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] - those were my two choices for my last pregnancy (and even crazier than that - [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] was the middle name I had chosen as well!) We ended up with an [name_m]Archer[/name_m] (archie) and he suits his name to a T!!! Good luck!
