What do you think of this name. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it’s dated? it was highly popular in 1970s. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you prefer [name_f]Bridget[/name_f], [name_f]Brigitte[/name_f], [name_f]Brigitta[/name_f], [name_f]Brigid[/name_f] or other forms?
I love it! It’s very underused and fits a girl of all ages
I really like [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] (that spelling). I have considered it for this little girl with the NN [name_f]Bree[/name_f].
I love [name_f]Brigitta[/name_f]. And I like that it doesn’t have a lot of spelling variations the way [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] does.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] it!!!
I like this name. In fact, it may be the only B name that I like! I like [name_f]Brigitte[/name_f] (like [name_f]Bardot[/name_f]) best. Depending on the spelling, it seems very [name_m]French[/name_m] or English. Any way you spell it, it’s pretty/sporty rather than frilly. It has a similar feel to me as [name_f]Louise[/name_f] or [name_f]Kate[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] or [name_f]Bridie[/name_f] would be cute nn’s for [name_f]Bridget[/name_f].
I’m definitely not biased or anything, but I love it! I don’t think it’s dated at all. It’s uncommon (in the US, anyway) without being unfamiliar. It ages well and has a great meaning. It’s a no-frills name that still has a distinctly feminine touch.
[name_f]Bee[/name_f] is another nickname possibility (hence my username)
Forgot to mention, I’m not too fond of Brigid because it rhymes with “frigid” and I just think the -t endings sound nicer.
I love [name_f]Bridget[/name_f]. I don’t think it was ever popular enough to be dated. I only like the [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] spelling though.
I like [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] or [name_f]Brigitte[/name_f].
It makes me think of [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] [name_m]Jones[/name_m] Diary (the books/movies) as that’s the most recent popular use of the name.
I love the idea above of [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] as a nn! I only know 1 [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] who is 10 years old and her nn is GongGong (have absolutely no idea where it came from)
I love it, and the [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] spelling is my favourite unless a person lived in a [name_m]French[/name_m]-speaking place, in which case I might go with [name_f]Brigitte[/name_f]. I find it feisty, strong, feminine, and underused.
