What are your thoughts on the names Briesen, and [name]Erica[/name]/[name]Ericka[/name]?
Briesen is on a list of names of mine I stumbled across, I don’t recall where I heard it from, likely from a name book.
It’s been growing on me lately.

When I hear Briesen, I think [name]Bryson[/name], a boy’s name (which I love…on a boy). I think [name]Erica[/name]/[name]Ericka[/name]/[name]Erika[/name] would be fresh on a baby today. Some would call it dated, because it’s 80s or 90s I think, at least in the States. But I love names from the 80s and 90s, and I would say go for it!
Briesen looks like breeze-in or bree-sin. I’d rather just [name]Bre[/name]/[name]Brie[/name] but it’s not terrible unless you’re pronouncing it [name]Bryson[/name]. If that’s what you’re going for then the spelling is all wrong
[name]Erica[/name] is dated, I grew up with several
Much prefer [name]Ericka[/name]. Briesen looks very odd, and the pronunciation is going to be a nightmare - [name]Bryson[/name], or [name]Bree[/name]-son? Either way, it’s not pleasant.
I like [name]Erica[/name], [name]Ericka[/name] (but especially [name]Erika[/name]) best, but I’m heavily biased as that’s the name of my daughter. I was worried about it sounding dated, but I’m 29 and have only met 2 in my whole life!
I’m not a fan of either, sorry. Briesen sounds made up, and [name]Ericka[/name] sounds very 80’s.
I like [name]Erica[/name] (or [name]Erika[/name], but not [name]Ericka[/name]). I like a lot of the names that were popular in the 80s and 90s.
Briesen looks like breeze-in to me, and more like a last name than a first. Not sure if you are considering it for a girl or a boy. It definitely sounds more like a boy’s name, but you would have all kinds of spelling and pronunciation issues. If you are going for [name]Bryson[/name], I’d spell it that way.
