Bristol

For many years, I’ve considered using [name]Bristol[/name] as a middle name. Now, however, I fear that the name will always be associated with [name]Bristol[/name] [name]Palin[/name]. [name]Do[/name] you think so too or do you think the name could still be usable?

I actually like that name as well, but I do feel the association with Briston [name]Palin[/name] is too strong for use right now. However, I do think that association will fade over the next few years, and it will become more usable.

Eh, [name]Bristol[/name] [name]Palin[/name]'s fifteen minutes will fade soon enough. Though I would avoid using as a first name, I see not problem putting it in the middle name slot.

I have a sister named [name]Bristol[/name] (nn Brissy) and she’s never even gotten the comparison between her name and [name]Palin[/name]'s. I think it’s fine.

Reminds me more of the British city of [name]Bristol[/name].

I love [name]Bristol[/name], for a girl

When I was a young teenager I loved the name [name]Bristol[/name]. I didn’t even know it WAS a real name, I thought I was the first person to think of it as a name because I love to draw and I saw the word “bristol paper” on a sketchbook around that age and thought it would be a nice connection to my love for art. Everyone in my family thought I was crazy. Then [name]Bristol[/name] [name]Palin[/name] came around and suddenly a lot of people were loving the name [name]Bristol[/name].

That was a long-winded way for me to say that when I hear [name]Bristol[/name], first I think of sketch paper, then I think of the city in Alaska that she’s named after, and thirdly I think of [name]Bristol[/name] [name]Palin[/name]. I think she’s an association for some people, but I don’t think it’s that strong of one.
