[name]Brock[/name] [name]Henry[/name] is great! [name]Both[/name] names were on my short list for my second son, but my husband was not on board.

I have always really liked [name]Brock[/name], it’s so strong and masculine. I think [name]Henry[/name] is friendly and sweet, it balances out [name]Brock[/name] very nicely.

[name]Brock[/name] is kind of bland to me. I don’t have any reason to dislike it, but it doesn’t excite me either. There are some soap opera overtones to my ear.

I’m sorry but [name]Brock[/name] just does nothing for me! I’m not a fan of the “br” sound in any name, and it makes me think of broccolli. The only [name]Brock[/name] I know was named it because his parents are mad [name]Peter[/name] [name]Brock[/name] (the late race-car driver) fans so its comes across as a little bit gimmicky. I absolutely love [name]Henry[/name] though, if that helps… :?

I hadn’t thought of the iconic [name]Peter[/name] [name]Brock[/name] but that helps me like it a little bit more. My other [name]Henry[/name] love is [name]John[/name] [name]Henry[/name], love it.

I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]John[/name] [name]Henry[/name]!

I like [name]Brock[/name] (I think it is a cool, strong name with a bit of spunk), and [name]Henry[/name] is very handsome with it. Overall, I think [name]Brock[/name] [name]Henry[/name] is a very nice combination.

I have a relative named [name]Brock[/name] and he likes it.

[name]Hi[/name] [name]Rollo[/name], I don’t mind [name]Henry[/name] but [name]Brock[/name] is not my taste. In [name]America[/name] and [name]Canada[/name], it is what I call a “soap opera” name. There was a male character named [name]Brock[/name] [name]Chancellor[/name] on a daytime TV show “The [name]Young[/name] & The Restless” years back and that’s the only association I have for the name. [name]Brock[/name] just has too much macho swagger for my liking. There are also other “soap opera” names like [name]Thorne[/name], [name]Ridge[/name], [name]Savannah[/name], [name]Sienna[/name] and [name]Kayla[/name] that people seem to like for some reason. Maybe in your neck of the woods, it’s a non-issue. I just thought I’d let you know some history of the name in [name]North[/name] [name]America[/name]. I do like [name]John[/name] [name]Henry[/name] very much!

Thanks mischa I take your point you don’t want a child with a name from, “Days of your lives” type shows.

I am not into soap operas but here with the [name]Peter[/name] [name]Brock[/name] connection and the relative freshness of it I think it is okay.
