Brody, Mairead and?

I know someone who recently named her daughter [name_f]Mairead[/name_f] (rhymes with parade) and her older son is named [name_m]Brody[/name_m]. I like they both have a Irish/Scottish connection to each other. What would you name their future brother or sister? Have you ever used origin as a name theme for your own kids?

The only Scottish names that are coming straight to mind are [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f], [name_f]Fiona[/name_f], [name_u]Skye[/name_u], [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] and [name_m]Graham[/name_m]. I don’t think I would consider a theme for my kids.

I’m not planning on using a theme, but I feel like origin as a theme is the best theme. Simple, but efficient.
I’d go for something like [name_m]Finnegan[/name_m], [name_m]Finbar[/name_m], [name_m]Angus[/name_m], [name_m]Hamish[/name_m], [name_m]Fraser[/name_m], [name_m]Seamus[/name_m], etc for a boy. [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f], [name_f]Rhoswen[/name_f], [name_f]Maisie[/name_f], [name_f]Ione[/name_f]/[name_f]Iona[/name_f] etc for a girl.

I forgot about [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f]. I think it’s so sweet.

I love [name_m]Fraser[/name_m]! Sounds like an intelligent sweet little man

I honestly really like the idea of [name_f]Scotland[/name_f] [name_u]Blair[/name_u] for a sister, called [name_u]Scottie[/name_u]. And for a boy, how cute would [name_m]Sholto[/name_m] [name_u]Adair[/name_u] be?!

[name_f]Scotland[/name_f] [name_u]Blair[/name_u] is so cute! I love the nn [name_u]Scottie[/name_u].

I’ve gone through the top names in [name_f]Scotland[/name_f] for inspiration, here are my favourites with [name_m]Brody[/name_m] and [name_f]Mairead[/name_f]!

There’s several Irish names that rank in [name_f]Scotland[/name_f] so although they’re not Scottish, I did still include them if they felt like a good fit.
