Bronx Mowgli: Have they gone too far?

[name]Do[/name] you think the name [name]Bronx[/name] [name]Mowgli[/name] is a bid for attention or a name [name]Ashlee[/name] [name]Simpson[/name] and [name]Pete[/name] Wentz genuinely like? Or maybe they genuinely like attention?

Far too far, but they’re only young and famous.

Perhaps in their rarified LA world this works. But it doesn’t work for anyone who lives/lived in NYC. Neither would [name]Brooklyn[/name].

Interesting how the outer boroughs are getting all the name action. I guess they could name their next one Queens, [name]Astoria[/name], Bensonhurst or Staten. Or go all the way out to Montauk, Nassua, Suffolk or [name]Jones[/name].

I’d have preferred using family names, ex.: [name]Joseph[/name] [name]Peter[/name] Wentz. But I am a traditionalist. And over 34. And not famous.

i honestly think this is by far the worst starbaby name ever. everything about it is absurd. keep in mind, this is coming from the girl who loves [name]Moxie[/name] Crimefighter. It’s just all bad. I’ve never been to the [name]Bronx[/name], but as far as I know it’s not exactly a desirable neighborhood. [name]Mowgli[/name] is a boy raised by animals, come on. [name]Bronx[/name] Wentz is extremely difficult to say, i can’t imagine how hard that will be for him until he’s about 8. And the initials are B.M.W., how stupid. I wonder what [name]Jessica[/name] thinks of this name, I’ll bet she’s embarrassed.

I get what they were trying to do…the name is quirky and original. [name]Bronx[/name] by itself is not so bad. But [name]Mowgli[/name]?? as far as I know it has no other meaning besides the jungle book boy and thats kinda dumb. And [name]Bronx[/name] Wentz has an awful flow to it.

Terrible name for several reasons:

[name]Bronx[/name] - extremely bad neighborhood. you could even call it a ghetto. so why would you name your child after such a place? I never got [name]Brooklyn[/name] either.

[name]Mowgli[/name] - weird looking name that was used in literature (at least one good thing) but apparently means “frog”. Looks ugly written down, sounds weird and cutesy.

combo: terrible. [name]Bronx[/name] and [name]Mowgli[/name] don’t go together at all. The initials are BMW. and [name]BRONX[/name] WENTZ? come on that just sounds silly.

It’s really just awful.

I think this proves they are too young to have kids if they are nming after Disney charecters.

*Note, not all twenty-somethings are too youg. I’m 18…I just think these two have the maturity of fifteen.

I bet [name]Bronx[/name] will change his name as soon as he’s able to. They should have at least given [name]Bronx[/name] a normal middle name.

I was reading that [name]Pete[/name] Wentzs middle names is “[name]Kingston[/name] [name]Louis[/name]” and I thought…
[name]Bronx[/name] [name]Kingston[/name] [name]Louis[/name] Wentz…
I like it.
I am a fan of NY, and I like the ida of naming a child after a place… and who knows, they may have some weird connection to the place (I read once that Posh & Becks named there son [name]BROOKLYN[/name], as that is the place he was conceived.)
but I think [name]MOWGLI[/name], sends this name over the edge…
yuck.

I agree that [name]Bronx[/name] just doesn’t have the best connotations. And [name]Mowgli[/name] not only doesn’t sound that great, but I don’t like the way it looks on paper. And the entire combo of [name]Bronx[/name] [name]Mowgli[/name] Wentz doesn’t flow.

Probably one of my least favourite baby names, ever.
