[name]Addison[/name] isn’t my favorite name, but I have to put my two cents in about [name]Brooklyn[/name]. I don’t think that name is going to have a good image and I would avoid it! [name]Brooke[/name] is lovely on its own
I dont like [name]Brooklynn[/name] or [name]Addison[/name] at all! [name]Way[/name] to overused and trendy. I like [name]Renee[/name] a lot though. I would do [name]Renee[/name] [name]Brooke[/name] or [name]Renee[/name] [name]Allison[/name].
[name]Brooke[/name] (without the lyn). I really love [name]Brooke[/name].
[name]Addison[/name] is a boys name. I would hope you would want to give your daughter a girls name. I don’t mind [name]Brooklyn[/name], its so except as a name now I don’t think anyone would have a negative image of it. (If I had been a boy my name would have been [name]Addison[/name], thank God I’m a girl, the name is used with way to many girls now.)
grace, [name]Addison[/name] may have been a boys name at one time, but at this point it is barely unisex. It was #11 on the girls SSA list for 2010. The highest it ever got as a boys name was #513 and that was 10 years ago.
That doesn’t make it a girls name, a name can’t switch. It will forever be a boys name, just more girls are given a boys name then the boys. Any name, except [name]Allison[/name], that ends in -son is a boys name.
I have to agree with [name]Addison[/name] will always be a boy’s name to me and I am really not a fan of boy’s names on girls. Especially combined with the fact that [name]Addison[/name] and all of its strange spellings are very “trendee” right now-- think [name]Addysen[/name], etc. Others have mentioned [name]Brooke[/name] and while I find it very dated, I definitely prefer it over [name]Brooklyn[/name], and [name]Addison[/name]. I can’t imagine this on a child, especially since [name]David[/name] [name]Beckham[/name] has a son called [name]Brooklyn[/name].
[name]Addison[/name] is so overdone and boring. I don’t like [name]Brooklyn[/name], but I don’t mind [name]Brooke[/name], so my pick is [name]Brooklyn[/name].
I prefer [name]Addison[/name], it’s one of the few trendy names that I like.
I’m not that fond of the two of them. I agree with grace, [name]Addison[/name] will always be a boy’s name, [name]IMO[/name].
I voted [name]Brooklyn[/name], but I prefer [name]Brooke[/name] on it’s own, and I think you should use it as a full name, especially if you’re going to give her that as a nn, you know?
