So we’ve been TTC. We just for a faint positive, so heres to hoping it’s true!
Anyhow, we’ve been looking at names and we both loved [name]Sterling[/name]. Only problem, well our first sons name is [name]Archer[/name](named before the show) and just found out the show [name]Archer[/name]'s name is “[name]Sterling[/name] [name]Archer[/name]”… We get a lot of comments “Oh I love that show!” when we introduce [name]Arch[/name], and I don’t wanna seem like a nut for the show. [name]Archer[/name] wasn’t a show and wasn’t top 1000 when we named him, so I’d like something along the same lines thats different but not out there.
The husband has veto’d [name]EVERY[/name] boy idea, and said they’re too “[name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name]” and not masculine enough

[name]Love[/name] a lot of them and they make up previous lists Unfortunately either our rules- no more A names, “no -er or ie/ey endings” and needs more than 1 syllable rules out almost all that haven’t been previously veto’d by the husband. Except [name]Wilhelm[/name], [name]Bertram[/name] and [name]Griffith[/name]… He ruled out other names that reminded him of sesame street, [name]Oscar[/name] and [name]Ernie[/name], so Berts probably out. [name]Griffith[/name] is an ex boyfriends last name. [name]Wilhelm[/name]… I’m on the fence about that one
Our last name is [name]Friend[/name] if that helps, which is why I don’t like 1 syllable names, they just don’t sound right…

Yes I can see your reasons - especially about the one syllable and -er ending.
