This year I gave birth to my first child and we named him Artemio. I love the romantic sound of it, it’s not a heavy sounding name but still clear to pronounce for many different countries. I also love the " O " ending, and it fits a boy even though it’s originally from the goddess Artemis.
His second name is Myles.
I’m already thinking about his future siblings names. What name would you choose for his future brother?
[name_m]Artemio[/name_m] is gorgeous! [name_f]Amazing[/name_f] choice and congrats on your little one.
[name_m]Cassander[/name_m] - @Greyblue gave a lot of great suggestions and this one is my favourite. [name_m]Cassander[/name_m] has that the same familiar twist that [name_m]Artemio[/name_m] has and a clear link to a female name without being feminine. [name_m]Oleander[/name_m] is a similar choice.
Lydian/Elysian/Marius/Delius - More masculine elaborations with feminine roots.
[name_m]Bensiabel[/name_m] - A fairytale hero and one of my own personal favourites, with built in friendly nickname [name_m]Ben[/name_m].
[name_m]Dmitri[/name_m] - I love that this one also comes from a goddess (Demeter), but it might be too similar to [name_m]Artemio[/name_m].
[name_m]Raffaele[/name_m] - Has a similar artistic, Greco-Roman, familiar but unexpected vibe.
@saffemi I really liked [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] a few years ago, and [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] as well. But they are like celebrity kids names and my husband would never agree to those
@Greyblue those are great, one of my top names I had on my list since even before I met my husband was [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] but I’d love to change the C to a K. So, [name_m]Kaspian[/name_m]. I love it because there’s also my name in there “Kasia”.
[name_f]My[/name_f] long term list also has [name_m]Evander[/name_m] and [name_m]Leander[/name_m] on it. But [name_m]Kaspian[/name_m] still ranking above them for us.
@FreyByTheWay thank you so much… I do like [name_m]Rafael[/name_m] but my husband already said no to this one, I think because his best friends brother is [name_m]Rafael[/name_m]. I’d love to find something similar to this with the “ael” ending, do you have any ideas?
@Dragonrescuer thanks so much for the ideas, I do like [name_m]Castiel[/name_m] but maybe in my head reminds me of [name_m]Castle[/name_m]
@Julie_NameNerd our family friend is named [name_m]Leonardo[/name_m], I think [name_m]Leonidas[/name_m] it would be too similar even though sounds really nice
[name_m]Artemio[/name_m] is a handsome choice. I would prefer not to repeat the distinctive ‘o’ ending of [name_m]Artemio[/name_m] for a sibling, but otherwise I would want a name that feels refined and old-worldly.
You’ve had a lot of suggestions put forward already, so just names I haven’t seen:
@kachenka I also think maybe we wouldn’t repeat the “o” ending in a sibling name, unless we really found one that we absolutely love. thank you for all your suggestions
