So, we just found out that baby #2 is a boy (yay!). Only trouble is, boy names are much harder for us to choose than girl names for some reason.
I like first names that are not too common, not super trendy, and easy to say and spell. Bonus if they don’t have a nickname and are not unisex. Names starting with H or ending in -er don’t work well with our last name.
A few possibilities so far…
[name_u]Elliott[/name_u] (not sure it “goes” with [name_u]Chase[/name_u], seeming older and more formal?)
[name_u]Kade[/name_u] (I’ve never met or heard of a [name_u]Kade[/name_u], but somehow it sounds trendy… Is it?)
[name_m]Nolan[/name_m] (husband likes it, I’m on the fence.)
[name_u]Shane[/name_u] (I love the name but my [name_f]MIL[/name_f] has made a HUGE deal about wanting a grandson named [name_u]Shane[/name_u] and I feel like everyone would think she has me under her thumb if we used it! Lol. Plus husband is not such a fan.)
Middle name might be [name_m]David[/name_m], [name_m]Nelson[/name_m], or [name_u]James[/name_u] (family names).
I love your son’s name! My dog’s name is [name_u]Chase[/name_u] so unfortunately I could never use it for a future son but I do think it is very handsome and goes well with [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m].
I would go with [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] or [name_u]Shane[/name_u]. I think [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] sounds fine with [name_u]Chase[/name_u].
[name_u]Kade[/name_u] - yes, I think it’s trendy
[name_m]Nolan[/name_m] - it’s alright, I’ve noticed it’s been gaining popularity as well recently
Thanks for the suggestions! A lot of the ones you both listed are names I have considered but ruled out for one reason or another. There are definitely a few I hadn’t thought of though.
