[name_u]Baby[/name_u] 3 (boy) coming end of summer
Older siblings are [name_f]Colette[/name_f] and [name_m]Clark[/name_m]
Last name starts with N
We like last names as first names for boys and in general shorter 1-2 syllable names.
We had planned to use [name_m]Grant[/name_m] but it was recently taken by close family, to give you an idea of our taste

Leading contenders:

[name_u]Carter[/name_u] [name_u]Dean[/name_u]

[name_u]Blake[/name_u]
[name_u]Owen[/name_u]

Congrats!

Of the ones you have: I would probably say [name_u]Dean[/name_u] [name_m]Warner[/name_m] is the best option but I honestly like [name_u]Carter[/name_u] [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] together better.

Alternatives:

If you want alliterative with siblings:

[name_m]Conal[/name_m] (also spelled [name_m]Conall[/name_m] and [name_m]Connell[/name_m] )
[name_m]Carver[/name_m]
[name_m]Conan[/name_m]
[name_m]Caedmon[/name_m]
[name_u]Callum[/name_u]
[name_u]Callahan[/name_u] (sorry it’s 3 syllables)
[name_u]Carson[/name_u]
[name_u]Clifford[/name_u]
[name_m]Clifton[/name_m]
[name_m]Corwin[/name_m] (probably my personal favorite of this list)

If not:

[name_m]Johnson[/name_m]
[name_u]Walker[/name_u]
[name_m]Gunther[/name_m]
[name_m]Gannon[/name_m]
[name_u]Lincoln[/name_u]
[name_u]Pierce[/name_u]
[name_u]Morgan[/name_u]
[name_m]Truman[/name_m]
[name_m]Warren[/name_m]
[name_u]Davis[/name_u]
[name_u]Taylor[/name_u]
[name_m]Morris[/name_m]

Hopefully these help!

I would avoid [name_u]Dean[/name_u] b/c your last name starts with an N.

I like [name_m]Hugh[/name_m].

I like [name_u]Carter[/name_u] too, but only if you plan to stop at 3 kids.

[name_u]Dean[/name_u] and [name_u]Carter[/name_u] are in my list too! I love them!

[name_f]My[/name_f] friend has a son named [name_m]Clark[/name_m] with a brother renamed [name_u]Brooks[/name_u], and I think it’s perfect!! I would pick both of these if they worked with my last name.

[name_u]Dean[/name_u] fits nicely with the sibling names. [name_u]Carter[/name_u] shares a lot of sounds with [name_f]Colette[/name_f] and [name_m]Clark[/name_m], which can be positive or negative depending on your preferences. [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] is also a fine option.

Maybe you’d also like [name_m]Brian[/name_m], [name_u]Charlie[/name_u], [name_u]Leo[/name_u], [name_u]Jasper[/name_u], [name_m]Myles[/name_m], [name_u]Porter[/name_u] or [name_m]Vince[/name_m].

Good luck wih your name choice!

Congratulations!

Firstly [name_f]Colette[/name_f] + [name_m]Clark[/name_m] are lovely such sweet classic choices.

Looking at your other options I love [name_u]Dean[/name_u] [name_m]Warner[/name_m] I think [name_u]Dean[/name_u] is very handsome with a bright jazzy feel. I think [name_f]Colette[/name_f], [name_m]Clark[/name_m] and [name_u]Dean[/name_u] sound gorgeous together such a lovely sibling set.

You’ve had lots of lovely suggestions so count any repeats as me being in agreement with the berries

[name_f]Colette[/name_f], [name_m]Clark[/name_m] and…

[name_u]Clyde[/name_u]
[name_m]Caspian[/name_m]
[name_u]Calloway[/name_u]
[name_m]Caldwell[/name_m]
[name_m]Crispin[/name_m]
[name_m]Casper[/name_m]
[name_m]Calvin[/name_m]
[name_u]Cameron[/name_u]
[name_u]Chase[/name_u]
[name_u]Callum[/name_u]
[name_u]Cade[/name_u]
[name_m]Colton[/name_m]
[name_u]Connor[/name_u]

I really love [name_m]Calvin[/name_m] in your sibling set he’s handsome, has a jazzy flair, sounds gorgeous with [name_f]Colette[/name_f] + [name_m]Clark[/name_m], continues the c theme and I like the nickname [name_u]Cal[/name_u].

If your wanting to breakaway from the c theme here are some ideas

[name_m]Abel[/name_m]
[name_m]Reuben[/name_m]
[name_u]Maxwell[/name_u]
[name_u]Dorian[/name_u]
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m]
[name_u]Reid[/name_u]
[name_m]Lewis[/name_m]
[name_u]Owen[/name_u]
[name_u]Elijah[/name_u]
[name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m]
[name_u]Miles[/name_u]
[name_u]Blake[/name_u]
[name_u]Morgan[/name_u]
[name_u]Kingsley[/name_u]
[name_u]Floyd[/name_u]
[name_u]Beau[/name_u]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u]
[name_u]Franklin[/name_u]

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps

I like Hugh of your suggestions (it’s a smart, debonair name to me). It depends if you want to keep the C thing going as well. I wouldn’t use Dean with an N starting last name (and it’s also a little stark for me), and while Carter aligns with the “last name as first name” and C starting letter rules, I think it might be too close to Clark - they overshadow each other. Hugh Carter could be nice and again means the N of Harrison doesn’t run into an N of last name, if that’s of concern.

Here are some other (non N ending) suggestions (take repeats as double yes!):

C names (and might be nice to stick with C esp if this is to be your final child):

Crosby
Charles
Cooper
Chase
Conrad
Campbell
Curtis
Connor
Calder
Calloway
Conall

Others:

Warner as a first?
Felix
Wells
Ford / Forde
Hamish
Beckham
Graham
Henry
Toby
Harris
Wesley
Beau
Heath
Nash
Brooks

Hope this helps!

Thanks for all these great messages! I really appreciate all the thoughts. We’re Having so much more trouble deciding this time for some reason. To answer a couple questions Yes This will be final child and we’re open to another C but not essential.

I prefer [name_u]Carter[/name_u] [name_u]Dean[/name_u] from your list, because I prefer cohesion among sibling sets. [name_u]Carter[/name_u] [name_u]Dean[/name_u] is a great name, and sounds wonderful with [name_f]Colette[/name_f] & [name_m]Clark[/name_m]!

Other ideas:

[name_u]Callan[/name_u]
[name_u]Cameron[/name_u]
[name_m]Carl[/name_m]
[name_u]Cary[/name_u]
[name_u]Charles[/name_u]

I would go with [name_u]Camden[/name_u]!

[name_m]Hugh[/name_m] is so nice with the siblings names!

Great choices

[name_u]Brooks[/name_u] and [name_m]Wells[/name_m] do both resonate with me as well and had been on our list and a few people here have suggested them too! I’m just not sure about “pleural” names like those, does anyone have any thoughts on that? Is it a constant tongue twister? Would using those names in a possessive context be ackward? “Wells’s crib”

We have a [name_m]Wells[/name_m]! And our other son also ends in “s”…I always say and spell them with the ‘s. It’s what feels right and normal to me, but many will spell and say Wells’. I’ve seen James’s & James’, Lucas’s & Lucas’, etc. Both ways are grammatically correct and it’s just a personal preference (although I have read where some people are passionate about needing the extra “s”).

Our son does call himself “Wellsy” so that’s what he mainly goes by now which does take care of the possessive questioning

Anyways, I think you have some solid choices already! [name_u]Drew[/name_u] or [name_m]Mac[/name_m] were the first two names that came to my head and I saw someone mention [name_m]Calvin[/name_m] “Cal” which I also think is great with your first two too!

[name_u]Miles[/name_u]
[name_u]Hunter[/name_u]
[name_m]Baxter[/name_m]
[name_u]Wilson[/name_u]
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u]
[name_u]Dylan[/name_u]
[name_u]Bowen[/name_u]
[name_m]Ewan[/name_m]

Precisely what I was going to say

Cartwright [name_m]Vance[/name_m]

or

[name_m]Cyrus[/name_m] [name_u]Halston[/name_u]
