We are expecting another boy in [name_f]April[/name_f]. We had the hardest time naming our son the first time around, but fell in love with [name_m]Gannon[/name_m] [name_u]Michael[/name_u]. Now, we need another name and would love some help! I really liked [name_m]Gannon[/name_m] because it wasn’t too common, yet easy to pronounce, not trendy, and can’t be shortened. Last name is one syllable, beginning and ending with ‘s’. The problem is that many of the names we like now are only one syllable as well, which doesn’t flow too well.
Thinking of using [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] as the middle name, no real connection, I’d just prefer a more traditional middle name and really like the sound of [name_m]Matthew[/name_m]. Some names we’ve thrown around:
[name_m]Cole[/name_m]
[name_m]Braden[/name_m]
[name_m]Ian[/name_m]
[name_u]Blake[/name_u]
[name_u]Reid[/name_u]
[name_m]Luke[/name_m]
I also like [name_m]Caleb[/name_m], [name_m]Callen[/name_m], and [name_m]Eli[/name_m], but DH isn’t a fan. Any feedback/suggestions would be appreciated!! Thank you!
All of the names you’ve listed feel a bit too common next to [name_m]Gannon[/name_m]. Are there any unusual surname options on your family tree? If not, here are a few lists to look at:
I really like [name_u]Blake[/name_u] on your list and although it is only one syllable it has a long A so sounds longer, and will probably be nice with your one syllable last name. Trying to come up with names that can’t (usually) be shortened. Maybe…
