Hubby and I are trying to come up with a great name for a brother for Our 3 year old, [name_m]Hart[/name_m] Miro. We want something unique, but not strange. Something that sounds familiar, but not commonly used as a first name.
We’ve been toying with [name_m]Roman[/name_m] or [name_m]Rome[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]. Maybe [name_u]Beck[/name_u] or [name_m]Lenox[/name_m]? Thoughts on the names and any suggestions that we haven’t thiught of would be very much appreciated. We are stumped.
My hubby loves [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m]. I’m not a huge fan. Maybe we’ll let that one marinate and see if it sticks. Naming this little guy is so tough.
Great suggestions. Some we have thought of and some we have not. [name_m]Hart[/name_m] & [name_m]Rome[/name_m] instead of [name_m]Roman[/name_m]? I have some concerns with [name_m]Roman[/name_m] being such a power name…is [name_m]Rome[/name_m] any better? [name_m]Rome[/name_m] is kind of growing on me.
I like [name_m]Roman[/name_m] a lot. [name_m]Rome[/name_m] I like a little less maybe [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_m]Beacon[/name_m] or [name_m]Valiant[/name_m]?
I think [name_m]Hart[/name_m] and [name_m]Rome[/name_m] would be great for brothers!
Other suggestions: [name_u]Rue[/name_u], [name_u]Bay[/name_u], [name_m]Boone[/name_m], [name_u]Reese[/name_u], [name_m]Rune[/name_m], or [name_m]Graham[/name_m]?
[name_m]Rome[/name_m] is growing on me more so than roman. Primarily because I like it with [name_m]Hart[/name_m] and roman seems to be a little to tough of a name. [name_m]Graham[/name_m] was my initial favorite for this guy, but hubby said it was a no go. [name_u]Sage[/name_u], I love. That’s a great name!
I would add an ‘s’ for a more modern sound and go with Becks! [name_m]Hart[/name_m] and Becks sound like a pair of really cool brothers to me. Or [name_m]Banks[/name_m]. [name_m]Hart[/name_m] and [name_m]Banks[/name_m].
I like [name_m]Roman[/name_m] and don’t think it’s too macho for [name_m]Hart[/name_m], but it may be a little plain. [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] as a middle definitely makes it very plain compared to [name_m]Hart[/name_m] Miro. And [name_m]Roman[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] just sounds very… clashy to me. [name_m]Rome[/name_m] even more so. Like, [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] would be the name of the emperor/great conquerer and [name_m]Roman[/name_m]/[name_m]Rome[/name_m] are his people/city. Maybe too matchy is the word I want. Anyway if you want [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] as an honor name or something like that I would choose a different first that doesn’t conjure up an image of the ancient greeks/romans. If it’s not an honor name I would look for something else because it definitely doesn’t seem to fit with your overall style.
Alternatively, if [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] is an honor name you could go with [name_m]Xander[/name_m] instead. That seems a little more your style. [name_m]Xander[/name_m] [name_m]Roman[/name_m] or [name_m]Xander[/name_m] Becks sound nice. Or maybe even [name_m]Roman[/name_m] [name_m]Xan[/name_m].
[name_m]Hart[/name_m] Miro and [name_m]Roman[/name_m] [name_m]Xan[/name_m] sound like brothers to me!
I’m not a fan of [name_m]Roman[/name_m], but I think [name_m]Rome[/name_m] is pretty cool! I’ve never heard it before, but it doesn’t feel too “out there.” And I think [name_m]Hart[/name_m] and [name_m]Rome[/name_m] sound nice together.
I really love the name [name_m]Hart[/name_m] and I think [name_m]Rome[/name_m] is cool, but as I’ve read through this thread, I realized I was singing “where the deer and the antelope roam…” ): [name_m]Just[/name_m] something to consider.
My sons name is Miro. We also had [name_m]Hart[/name_m] on our list. Other names on boys list:
vale
[name_u]Zephyr[/name_u]
[name_m]Ziggy[/name_m]
[name_m]Django[/name_m]
[name_f]Indy[/name_f]
[name_m]Whistler[/name_m]
Townes
I really like [name_m]Rome[/name_m]. [name_m]Roman[/name_m] is good too but [name_m]Rome[/name_m] has a little something extra special.
Haha, please don’t use [name_m]Stone[/name_m]! “[name_m]Hart[/name_m] and [name_m]Stone[/name_m]” sounds like “Heart of stone”
If you like [name_m]Graham[/name_m], maybe you’ll like [name_m]Grant[/name_m]?
If your husband likes [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m], maybe he’ll like [name_m]Vance[/name_m]?
I’m not a big fan of [name_m]Roman[/name_m] or [name_m]Rome[/name_m] but I think they both work just fine for you.
