Not getting any closer to naming this third baby…but current favorites are [name_m]Hugh[/name_m], [name_m]Peter[/name_m] ([name_m]Pete[/name_m]) and [name_m]Walter[/name_m] ([name_m]Walt[/name_m]).
My hesitation with [name_m]Peter[/name_m] and [name_m]Walter[/name_m] is I really just like [name_m]Pete[/name_m] and [name_m]Walt[/name_m]. But I suppose we would just call him that right off the bat.
Which is your favorite? Or…are there any others that I should consider?
I like [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] and [name_m]Peter[/name_m]. I know a [name_m]Peter[/name_m] who goes by [name_m]Pete[/name_m] pretty exclusively and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] I would say is more unusual and kind of an old man/vintage vibe, whereas [name_m]Peter[/name_m]/[name_m]Pete[/name_m] is more of a classic. [name_m]Just[/name_m] depends what you like!
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_m]George[/name_m] and [name_m]Hugh[/name_m]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_m]George[/name_m] and [name_m]Peter[/name_m] ([name_m]Pete[/name_m])
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_m]George[/name_m] and [name_m]Walter[/name_m] ([name_m]Walt[/name_m])
Well, the classic combo is [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_m]George[/name_m] and any of these full names. I love [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_m]George[/name_m] and [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] best.
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_m]George[/name_m] and [name_m]Pete[/name_m] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_m]George[/name_m] and [name_m]Walt[/name_m] are kind of different b/c you have two classic names with a classic nn.
Personally, I’d rather be called [name_m]Pete[/name_m] than [name_m]Walt[/name_m] so [name_m]Peter[/name_m] option would be my second choice after [name_m]Hugh[/name_m].
I think [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] is a good match. Other ideas …
[name_m]Andrew[/name_m] nn [name_u]Drew[/name_u]
[name_m]Chad[/name_m]
[name_m]Crawford[/name_m]
[name_m]Dermot[/name_m]
[name_m]Jeremy[/name_m] nn [name_u]Jem[/name_u]
[name_m]Lloyd[/name_m]
[name_m]Maxwell[/name_m]
[name_u]Noel[/name_u]
[name_m]Philip[/name_m] nn [name_m]Pip[/name_m]
[name_m]Roland[/name_m] nn [name_m]Rolo[/name_m]
[name_u]Stanley[/name_u]
[name_u]Sidney[/name_u]
[name_m]Timothy[/name_m]
[name_m]Vincent[/name_m] nn [name_m]Vin[/name_m]
[name_m]Wilfred[/name_m]
I like all of them but obviously prefer [name_m]Peter[/name_m]. I think it’s one of those names where the nickname comes out naturally. I didn’t make a conscious decision with my son (I like both [name_m]Pete[/name_m] and [name_m]Peter[/name_m]) but I usually call him [name_m]Pete[/name_m]. I introduce him as [name_m]Peter[/name_m] though.
