[name_f]My[/name_f] lg is called [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], she was named by her dad. He likes really traditional/old fashioned names and I like more spunky and nature names so [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] was the only one out of his list I agreed on.
He says I can name our next child as he pretty much named [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] I just agreed to her name. I’ve always wanted our children to all have ‘y/ie’ ending names as our names have these endings too so it’s like we all match.
However I’m having a hard time figuring out what names that aren’t traditional or old fashioned really go well with [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], even if they do have the same ending.
The top name I have right now for a boy is [name_u]Ziggy[/name_u] but not sure if this is a completely different vibe and if it would remotely work with [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]?
Some other names I’ve considered:
[name_m]Albie[/name_m]
[name_u]Frankie[/name_u]
[name_u]Jesse[/name_u]
[name_u]Sonny[/name_u]
If I wasn’t after the ‘y/ie’ ending the #1 boy name for me would be [name_u]Fox[/name_u], if that gives you more of an idea what I’m after!
I think all of these work with [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]! [name_f]My[/name_f] favourite is [name_m]Albie[/name_m], followed up by [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] - spunky and trendy but with traditional origins, so the dad will like them too.
[name_u]Ziggy[/name_u] does work with [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], even though it’s definitely a bit quirkier. Still usable! What about:
[name_u]Ari[/name_u]
[name_u]Alfie[/name_u]
[name_m]Archie[/name_m]
[name_u]Clancy[/name_u]
[name_m]Cy[/name_m]
[name_m]Clay[/name_m]
[name_u]Eli[/name_u]
[name_u]Freddie[/name_u]
[name_m]Harvey[/name_m]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u]
[name_m]Louis[/name_m] (loo-ee pronunciation)
[name_m]Monty[/name_m]
[name_u]Percy[/name_u]
[name_u]Rory[/name_u]
[name_u]Remy[/name_u]
[name_u]Toby[/name_u]
[name_u]Teddy[/name_u]
I love [name_m]Louis[/name_m] but my partner has a close friend with that name! Always loved [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] but my step dad is called [name_m]Edward[/name_m] and goes by [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] sometimes and love [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] to go with [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] if I ever was to have twins which run in my family (yes thought about it that deeply ).
I think [name_u]Ziggy[/name_u] does go with [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and wouldn’t limit you to one style of name. Alternatively you might like [name_u]Marley[/name_u], [name_m]Ozzy[/name_m], [name_u]Remy[/name_u], [name_u]Jerry[/name_u], [name_u]Jory[/name_u], [name_m]Bodie[/name_m], [name_m]Monty[/name_m], [name_u]Teddy[/name_u], [name_u]Joey[/name_u] or [name_m]Rocky[/name_m]

Fox and [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] would be lovely! But I think out of the ie/y names you’ve listed I like [name_u]Jesse[/name_u] the most. [name_u]Ziggy[/name_u] does feel different.
Maybe you would like
[name_u]Rory[/name_u]
[name_u]Charlie[/name_u]
[name_u]Harley[/name_u]
[name_m]Harvey[/name_m]
[name_m]Benji[/name_m]
^This! I kinda feel like if you love [name_u]Fox[/name_u], go with [name_u]Fox[/name_u], because it goes really well with [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]. But totally understand if all having matching end sounds is really important to you.
[name_u]Haven[/name_u]'t though about it enough yet to have further suggestions of my own, but [name_u]Remy[/name_u], [name_m]Monty[/name_m], [name_u]Bowie[/name_u] all sound like they’s go really well!
My first thought for you was Renly “Ren”.
Renly and Ivy are cute together, I also really like Ivy and Fox! But I really like when sibling names have the same amount of the letters for some reason.
My vote would be to use Fox, otherwise Renly Fox would be very cool.
