DH and I are having a third boy! We’re trying to think of names that would fit in with his big brothers, [name_m]Maximus[/name_m] and [name_u]Kingsley[/name_u].
Some names we like: [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u], [name_u]Rex[/name_u], [name_u]Sterling[/name_u], [name_m]Princeton[/name_m] [we love this name but we know he’d get “Like the university?” his whole life and we can’t think of any similar names], [name_u]Francis[/name_u] [but we’re not sure if it’s too feminine / easily confused with [name_f]Frances[/name_f]]
We prefer names that are:
*Classic or vintage but not-too-common
*Definitively masculine
*Two syllables
*[name_f]Regal[/name_f], sophisticated, or grandiose [as evidenced by his big brothers’ names, which they love and get complimented on often!]
We also enjoy:
*Surnames as first names
*Place names as first names
Any suggestions would be lovely. Thank you, Nameberries!
[name_m]Tiberius[/name_m]
[name_m]Cassius[/name_m]
[name_m]Victor[/name_m] - meaning “the conqueror”
[name_m]Wolfgang[/name_m]
[name_m]Roman[/name_m]
[name_m]Berkley[/name_m]
[name_m]Stanton[/name_m]
[name_m]Marshall[/name_m]
[name_m]Aragon[/name_m]
[name_m]Cyprus[/name_m]
[name_u]Brighton[/name_u]
[name_m]Demetrius[/name_m]
[name_m]Griffith[/name_m]
[name_m]Julius[/name_m]
[name_m]Hagan[/name_m]
Some of these don’t fit your syllable requirement, but I wanted to give you a bigger variety. Let me know what you think of them! Congratulations on your third little man.
Maximum, [name_u]Kingsley[/name_u], and [name_m]Wolfe[/name_m] was the first hing that came to my mind.
Also thought of: [name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m] and [name_m]Griffin[/name_m]
The only thing I might caution you against is using [name_u]Rex[/name_u], because it means [name_m]King[/name_m], and the [name_m]King[/name_m]/[name_u]Kingsley[/name_u] thing might be a bit much.
[name_u]Rex[/name_u] and [name_m]Princeton[/name_m] would be corny with a brother named [name_u]Kingsley[/name_u], so I would steer clear of those. ([name_u]Rex[/name_u] means “king,” and having a [name_m]King[/name_m] and a [name_m]Prince[/name_m] in the same family would only make you look exceedingly arrogant.) [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] and [name_u]Francis[/name_u] don’t pack quite the same punch as [name_m]Maximus[/name_m] and [name_u]Kingsley[/name_u], so those don’t feel right. [name_u]Sterling[/name_u] could work though. Here were my first thoughts for [name_m]Maximus[/name_m] and [name_u]Kingsley[/name_u]'s brother:
I really like your boys’ names! I think [name_u]Sterling[/name_u] fits best with [name_m]Maximus[/name_m] and [name_u]Kingsley[/name_u]. I love them together as a sibset!
[name_m]Maximus[/name_m], [name_u]Kingsley[/name_u], and [name_u]Lionel[/name_u]
[name_m]Maximus[/name_m], [name_u]Kingsley[/name_u], and [name_m]Preston[/name_m]
[name_m]Maximus[/name_m], [name_u]Kingsley[/name_u], and [name_m]Quentin[/name_m]
[name_m]Maximus[/name_m], [name_u]Kingsley[/name_u], and [name_m]Reginald[/name_m]
[name_m]Maximus[/name_m], [name_u]Kingsley[/name_u], and [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u]
[name_m]Maximus[/name_m], [name_u]Kingsley[/name_u], and [name_m]Victor[/name_m]
I think [name_u]Sterling[/name_u] sounds really good with [name_m]Maximus[/name_m] and [name_u]Kingsley[/name_u] - it’s got a similar air about it, though I’m not a big fan of [name_u]Sterling[/name_u] myself. [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] is definitely my favourite name on its own there (as you can probably tell from my signature!) and I think that sounds lovely with [name_m]Maximus[/name_m] and [name_u]Kingsley[/name_u] - it also has the grandiose feeling to it, but less obviously than [name_u]Sterling[/name_u] or [name_m]Princeton[/name_m]
Hmmm… I think I like [name_u]Sterling[/name_u] and [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] best on your list. I agree, [name_m]Princeton[/name_m] would be a no for me based on the association with the college. I don’t think [name_u]Rex[/name_u] fits well with the sibset (too short). I think [name_u]Francis[/name_u] does sound feminine and/or outdated.
[name_m]Maximus[/name_m], [name_u]Kingsley[/name_u], and…
[name_m]Xavier[/name_m] - this is my [name_m]FAVORITE[/name_m] for you. I think it flows so nicely and is such a regal name.
[name_m]Prescott[/name_m] - Instead of [name_m]Princeton[/name_m]
[name_m]Calloway[/name_m]
[name_m]Gannon[/name_m]
[name_m]Laurent[/name_m] - sub for [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u]
[name_m]Deacon[/name_m]
[name_m]Draven[/name_m]
[name_m]Lyndon[/name_m]
[name_m]Harrington[/name_m] - I’m not sure if you use nicknames, but I love the nn [name_m]Harry[/name_m].
I really love [name_u]Sterling[/name_u] with [name_m]Maximus[/name_m] and [name_u]Kingsley[/name_u]. [name_u]Sterling[/name_u] is definitely the winner from your list.
