Looking for opinions on my working list of boy names, would love some outside opinions! Pretty set on [name_m]Hamilton[/name_m] or [name_u]James[/name_u] for a middle name, depending on which goes better.

[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
[name_u]Sullivan[/name_u]
Would love to hear favorites as well as opinions on which ones to cross off!
The only ones I like are
[name_u]August[/name_u]
[name_u]Elias[/name_u]
[name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_m]Felix[/name_m]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m]
[name_m]Heath[/name_m] (might get called [name_f]Heather[/name_f] but I love it)
[name_m]Jack[/name_m]
[name_m]Lincoln[/name_m]
[name_m]Marshall[/name_m]
[name_u]Remington[/name_u] (very cute)
[name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] (I like it but might be made fun of for monsters inc)
My favorite name together is [name_u]Remington[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u]!
Honestly, before I clicked on your post, just reading the title made me think of [name_u]James[/name_u] as a first name. Out of your choices, I like [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m]. I like [name_u]Remington[/name_u], but [name_u]Remy[/name_u] and [name_u]Penny[/name_u] might be a bit much. Some others would be:
With [name_u]James[/name_u]:
[name_m]Henry[/name_m]
[name_m]Harold[/name_m]
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m]
[name_m]Walter[/name_m]
[name_m]Lucas[/name_m]
[name_u]Noah[/name_u]
[name_m]Gideon[/name_m]
[name_m]Ransom[/name_m]
[name_m]Asher[/name_m]
With [name_m]Hamilton[/name_m]:
[name_m]Charles[/name_m]
[name_m]Clarence[/name_m]
[name_u]Lawrence[/name_u]
[name_m]Jeffrey[/name_m]
[name_m]Miles[/name_m]
[name_u]Noah[/name_u]
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m]
[name_m]Thomas[/name_m]
[name_m]William[/name_m]
Or, you could always go with [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Hamilton[/name_m]. [name_m]Just[/name_m] a thought.
From your list I would keep:
[name_u]August[/name_u]
[name_m]Jack[/name_m]
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
[name_m]Marshall[/name_m]
[name_m]Felix[/name_m]
I would cross off:
[name_m]Gulliver[/name_m]
[name_m]Lincoln[/name_m]
[name_u]Grady[/name_u]
[name_u]Remington[/name_u]
[name_m]Crosby[/name_m]
[name_m]Ian[/name_m]
I like…
[name_m]Crosby[/name_m]
[name_u]August[/name_u]
[name_u]Sullivan[/name_u]
[name_m]Felix[/name_m]
[name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m] (not shortened to [name_m]Harry[/name_m] though)
[name_m]Jack[/name_m]
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m]
[name_m]Gulliver[/name_m] and [name_m]Heath[/name_m] are my least favourites.
I like:
[name_u]August[/name_u]
[name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_m]Felix[/name_m]
[name_m]Ian[/name_m]
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m]
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
Not as much: (I don’t like the surname ones as much as they feel like a different style from [name_f]Violet[/name_f] & [name_f]Penelope[/name_f])
[name_m]Crosby[/name_m] (too modern)
[name_u]Elias[/name_u] (different style, too close in sound to [name_f]Violet[/name_f])
[name_u]Elliot[/name_u] (too close to [name_f]Penelope[/name_f])
[name_u]Grady[/name_u] (different style)
[name_m]Gulliver[/name_m]
[name_m]Harrison[/name_m]
[name_m]Heath[/name_m]
[name_m]Jack[/name_m] (too popular)
[name_m]Lincoln[/name_m]
[name_m]Marshall[/name_m]
[name_u]Remington[/name_u]
[name_u]Sullivan[/name_u]
I love [name_u]Elias[/name_u] and I think it works great especially with [name_f]Penelope[/name_f].
These are nice too, I would remove the rest.
[name_u]August[/name_u]
[name_u]Elias[/name_u]
[name_u]Elliot[/name_u]
[name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_m]Felix[/name_m]
[name_m]Heath[/name_m]
[name_m]Ian[/name_m]
[name_m]Jack[/name_m]
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m] (I love this but worry it’s too popular)
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
To me, the names that stand out on your list are:
[name_u]August[/name_u]
[name_m]Marshall[/name_m]
[name_m]Heath[/name_m]
[name_u]Sullivan[/name_u]
It’s a nice list of names, though, so you can’t really go wrong. [name_m]Jack[/name_m] is maybe one I would cross off unless it’s a family name. At least in my neck of the woods, many many children named [name_m]Jack[/name_m], [name_m]Jackson[/name_m]/[name_m]Jaxson[/name_m], [name_m]Mac[/name_m], [name_m]John[/name_m] nn. [name_m]Jack[/name_m], etc., have been showing up. Because of the multitude of ways to get to [name_m]Jack[/name_m]/[name_m]Mac[/name_m], it’s easy to underestimate the number that are around. This would bother me, but it might not be a problem for you.
My favourites are [name_u]August[/name_u], [name_m]Jack[/name_m], [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] and [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], but I’m intrigued by [name_u]Elias[/name_u] and [name_u]Elliot[/name_u].
Your girls’ names are beautiful by the way.
[name_m]Jack[/name_m], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] and [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] would work. I love [name_m]Felix[/name_m] with [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f]!
Thanks for the great input - I’m starting to really like [name_m]Felix[/name_m], but am worried it works better in my head than on a real person. Thoughts? I love the sound of [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Hamilton[/name_m] but really don’t want a [name_m]Jim[/name_m]/[name_m]Jimmy[/name_m]. Can that realistically be avoided?
Well I never understood why people call [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Jimmy[/name_m] in the first place. It doesn’t look or sound anything like it. That being said, I don’t like when people say that name to someone named [name_u]James[/name_u]. It doesn’t make sense. The only other name I like on [name_u]James[/name_u] is [name_u]Jamie[/name_u].
[name_m]Felix[/name_m] absolutely works on a real person and goes great with your daughters! I don’t think many people shorten [name_u]James[/name_u] to [name_m]Jim[/name_m] or [name_m]Jimmy[/name_m] in this generation. I think you could easily have him go by [name_u]James[/name_u]. I was friends in high school with a [name_u]James[/name_u] who I’ve never heard referred to as anything else.
Other favorites from your list are: [name_u]Elias[/name_u], [name_m]Heath[/name_m] and [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u]. [name_m]Felix[/name_m] is my very favorite though.
