We are welcoming a little boy soon…We already have a [name]Tessa[/name] & a [name]Gavin[/name]. Please give feedback on our list & what sounds best with sibset and our last name ([name]Crosby[/name]).
[name]Liam[/name]
[name]James[/name]
[name]Samuel[/name] ([name]Sam[/name])
[name]Noah[/name]
[name]Owen[/name]
[name]Zachary[/name] ([name]Zach[/name])
[name]Benjamin[/name] ([name]Ben[/name]—[name]SIL[/name] pointed out it could sound like [name]Bing[/name] [name]Crosby[/name], singer)
1 [name]Tessa[/name], [name]Gavin[/name] and [name]Liam[/name]
2 [name]Tessa[/name], [name]Gavin[/name] and [name]Noah[/name]
Honorable Mention:
[name]Samuel[/name]
I find [name]Gavin[/name] and [name]Owen[/name] too matchy in sound. I like [name]James[/name], [name]Samuel[/name] and [name]Benjamin[/name] but these names are really from a different style than [name]Tessa[/name] and [name]Gavin[/name]. If similar style aren’t important to you, I think [name]Samuel[/name] would be my favourite of the three with your children’s names.
I love [name]Liam[/name]. I know it’s becoming fairly popular, but I think it’s such a great name. And I think it goes great with [name]Tessa[/name] and [name]Gavin[/name].
[name]Liam[/name] – [name]Love[/name] it and I love it with the siblings
[name]James[/name] – this ones seems boring to me and especially next to the other 2
[name]Samuel[/name] ([name]Sam[/name]) – this is sort of the same as [name]James[/name], but I like it better with the siblings
[name]Noah[/name] – It’s alright, nms, but nice sounding. I think it goes well with the others
[name]Owen[/name] – [name]LOVE[/name] it with the others and I love it in general
[name]Zachary[/name] ([name]Zach[/name]) – dated but cool and i love it and it sounds good with the others
[name]Benjamin[/name] – I don’t think it sounds too much like [name]Bing[/name] [name]Crosby[/name]. I love it! [name]Love[/name] it with the others too
I feel like [name]Owen[/name] goes best with [name]Tessa[/name] and [name]Gavin[/name]. Granted, I love the name [name]Owen[/name].
[name]Liam[/name] and [name]Zachary[/name] are also good matches with [name]Tessa[/name] and [name]Gavin[/name], but [name]Liam[/name] is a bit on the popular side (too popular for me) and I feel like [name]Owen[/name] is a better fit than [name]Zach[/name].
I like [name]Benjamin[/name] next, but it just seems like more of a classic name than the more contemporary [name]Tessa[/name] and [name]Gavin[/name], so stylistically it doesn’t seem to be a good match.
The last three: [name]James[/name], [name]Samuel[/name] ([name]Sam[/name]), and [name]Noah[/name] are all nice names, but I just don’t feel like any of them go that well with [name]Tessa[/name] and [name]Gavin[/name].
I think all your names fit well together as a sibset, so you really can’t go wrong here. If I had to pick a favorite though, I’d go with [name]Samuel[/name] followed by [name]Zachary[/name] and [name]Noah[/name].
[name]Owen[/name] & [name]Liam[/name] work best culturally ([name]Tess[/name] being English, [name]Gavin[/name] being Celtic, [name]Owen[/name] & [name]Liam[/name] being Welsh & Irish -you’d have representatives from all the British Isles)
[name]Tessa[/name], [name]Gavin[/name] & [name]Owen[/name] OR [name]Tessa[/name], [name]Gavin[/name] & [name]Liam[/name] both work well together I think.
But, I also like [name]Zachary[/name] & [name]Noah[/name] with [name]Samual[/name] as a #5. Not too keen on [name]James[/name] or [name]Benjamin[/name] for you -they seem overly popular and don’t fit as well as your other choices [name]IMO[/name].
